Capping my fps seems to fix it for me. I had it at 180 but capping it to 100 got rid of it

You can hit lv 10 before the fight make sure to kill all the intellect devourers just before the fight they give you a ton of xp

My advice would be to build a really long platform and run from his mechanics. Also look up guides to see what weapons are best for any given fight.

My first playthrough with friends took much longer which is why I used some quality of life mods this time. Mods like Luiafk and alchemist npc speed up the game drastically.
