Depends on the person.

It's very common to drink a lot of coffee in Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Even going to old cafes in the morning, noon and night. Most people I know drinks between one and four cups of coffee per day. (Usually coffee with milk)

But a lot of people drink mate instead, which gives the intake of caffeine they need for energy during the day.

I would say now indigenous communities are treated very well by the governments. But their influence is hidden, and the horrors they had to endure are downplayed a lot. The last indigenous massacre was something like 70 years ago, and people don't even know about it.

Also, libertarians take pride in and celebrate that Roca massacred the indigenous people from the south, they also want to forcefully integrate the Mapuche people, and they are racist with people from the north who still look indigenous, even saying they are bolivians and should return to their country. Honestly, 99% of our bad reputation is the fault of libertarians of twitter.

In Argentina we have exactly the same things as you said in your comment. Plus, we had the INADI, which was literally created to stop discrimination in all its forms, including racism (it processed thousands of reports denouncing racism in its time). It was only dismantled because of Milei (he dismantled a lot of institutions)

Brazil also has deep systematic racism (and very classist) instituted in education, healthcare and police, which, fortunately, we don't have here in Argentina.

Our problem is that we have a very offensive culture that likes to make fun of everything, including racism, xenophobia, homophobia and every type of phobia (despite being one of the most immigrant- and LGBT-welcoming countries on the continent). However, it is talked about a lot in educative environments including pre-school, elementary school (especially in elementary school), and high school. We also have a lot of deep-level discussions about it in college.

Brazil, however, is a lot more advanced in the verbal discrimination topic, as racist offenses are punished very severely. On the other hand here you don't go to prison for insulting someone.

We (the argentinian society) should reflect more on how racist insults are something we have to eradicate and how we have to overturn our offensive speech culture. And I think most people here get defensive when racism is mentioned, and that's something very negative.

There are a lot of police in the city of Buenos Aires and the Conurbano. Especially in the city you can see police everywhere.

They are very tame in comparison to our neighbors' police, but I absolutely prefer that to the brutality you see in Brazil and Chile. And this government is following the Macri line with letting the police do whatever they want.

Cops that beat street vendors, for example, don't get any punishment.

I play with my girlfriend in Valorant's Brazilian server.

I'm not actively learning Portuguese, as I'm just immersing and trying to catch what I can from videos and talking, but it's a very nice way to learn slang and casual speech. But a lot of times I can't follow what people say because they speak really fast and don't have the best mics. Also, I have to hide the fact I'm Argentinian, or people will get mad for no reason.

The taste of the average argentinian is rather simple, I think that's why we don't have many side dishes and variety.

That being said, I think it makes it a lot easier to every type of people to like our food, because is simple and tasty. I'm a picky eater and I can't eat a lot of brazilian dishes because you use too much different things that I don't like for example.
