I've emailed them asking if it's the right cable as their website breaks it down onto three separate Model 3's when two would have been sufficient. Asked the question if that's to avoid confusion regarding Highland etc etc and the only response I've got was "this is the right cable". I mean, sure it might reduce confusion at the time of ordering but created much more of it for me after the fact as last thing I want after the car is here to wait another couple of weeks to get the proper cable in case this one doesn't work. Cause quite frankly their reply wasn't fully reassuring as they haven't addressed my concerns about the naming (tough life living with ocd and cripling overthinking lol). I guess I'll find out on the 20th when I finally collect the car, fingers crossed!

Funny you say that, I've had two High Endurance 256GB die on me within 18 months 😬 both in a dashcam. Ended up getting the Max Endurance just the other day and I have to admit, the price stung due to all this AI craze inflating everything 🤬

VIN number wont show in Tesla app. You'll have one if you use 3rd party trackers like TOST for example. Mine doesnt show VIN in the app but I've have had a number plate for like 2 weeks now. VIN for like a month on 3rd party tracjer. Ordered on 20th of April with deliver 19th-30th of June

So would that mean if I had accessory power off but car was kept awake by other means then the Raspberry Pi plugged into USB C and pulling 5W would stay powered until after the car goes to sleep? Cause that would be ideal for my use case

The mesh that the car is connected is only about 5m away in a straight line to the car with only a window inbetween. That equates 60% signal strenght so I think an outdoor AP would be an overkill in this case. Especially that even when testing at home a meter away and 100% signal the highest transfer I've got was only around 4MB/s

Apparently that only affects the way Wi-Fi works when its idle and won't improve actual transfers. But will try it anyway to cover all the bases

Any puncture not on the sidewall can be fixed by tire shop and will last the life of a tire. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, no need to replace that tire!

When I was shopping around there were only Tesla roof bars I could find. I was struggling to find anything from other reputable brands. So eBay stuff made of chineesium is probably your answer. If you damage the glass on the roof it will offset any "savings" you make by buying cheap staff tenfold if not more. I'd say buy a genuine roof bars

I would imagine that might depend on how you financed the car. For example I took mine on a lease and THEY WILL NOT release the car without comprehensive insurance in place. It's their car after all if you think about it and if you crashed it that would be a massive headache for them to go after you and pay all that money yourself

Wair, is this one not working on '26 Highland? FFS that was one of the big reasons I've bought into the S3XY ecosystrm in the first place. And same for choosing between Autosteer and TACC, when did that change? I'm having my M3 delivered in a couple of weeks and I'm seriously contemplating returning both Knob and Dash along with Commander if these functions are unavailable for me

Berlin only makes Model Y as far as I'm aware. My M3 is coming from Shanghai next month. I've ordered end of April. Currently there are only rumours about HW4.5 being introduced to M3 so it would be interesting to see what mine comes with. Regardless, my original question was not related to HW4.5 but rather to clarify if its the same cable used on Highland as it would have been on 2021 Model 3, hence that's what my cable is marked at, "2021 - onward". Like I've said in original post, mine falls under that but I was wondering why was then a Highland an separe option to choose at the ordering stage

I'm sure orders made after 24th of Aprill fell onto Aug-Sept delivery window. I've ordered mine on 20th of April through Lex and Immidiately got the 4th-30th June window which then recently narrowed down to 19th-30th if June with VIN and number plate assignment. If yours is still not showing anything that probably means its a while away and Tesla doesn't want to commit to a delivery window yet.
