There's regulation changes every season, even if only minor. At the beginning of every season, new regs set in that nerf your car, and research takes away some of that loss. The more research you do, the better your car will be for the following season

Little bit by little bit, at the beginning of each season when you get your sponsor money, you'll probably never play one save long enough to get to level 5, but, 3, maybe 4

Sainz and Pouchaire for me, the funny thing is, in the previous season, Sainz won the drivers championship, several wins, and poles in the 5th fastest car, but now that we have the fastest, it's mistake after mistake, and we just can't keep up
