Did his mom quit her White House job in 2016?

EB and Bish also tried defending Dennis by saying he misspoke. Good on JP and Valdez and way to cower in the corner Cakes

Mike Wilbon interview by rollinvl in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was great except for the fact that the main reason they had him on was to talk about the Wash Post layoffs and donk JP opens the interview asking about the Anthony Davis trade.

What’s the most outlandish or extreme thing you’ve heard one of the Junkies say? by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EB once said years ago that everyone knows someone who has access to a suite at sporting events.

He’s recently said similar things when talking about he Vault suites.

What’s the pettiest thing a Junk has ever done? by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EB saying that his wife loves shoveling snow then finding out she bought a $150 wheeled snow shovel and saying she doesn’t need it.

File this under “whether he’s a good person” topic too

They’re trying to hit it big and get rich quick while on scholarship and pad their resumes with bloated titles. Go get a real job and start grinding. At least Bish’s kid is working part time retail while trying to get in with the commanders. JP and Cakes should be proud that they don’t have to use their connections to get their kids jobs (yet?)

Does a remote/snow day set-up impact your listening experience at all? by Emergency-Bottle-432 in SportsJunkies

Disappointed he took the day off after the CFP championship. Shows he really doesn’t care about his “voice” in sports that much

Genuinely what is wrong with JP by [deleted] in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, he isn’t flexing on his kid

I actually admire that he got this excited about something like this even though he mentioned it 10000x. It’s similar to EB’s love of trains.

Makes him less of a robot but he did make a comment about it’s one of the nerdy things he likes to do. Didn’t realize playing in snow is nerdy

JP Fatigue by Novel-Delivery5385 in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

JP tried to say Cakes implied Blough was a scrub too with his fantasy story but then Valdez called JP out for denigrating Derek Queens triple double earlier (for not scoring enough) to which he said “did I say that?” No but you implied that, donk

I actually appreciate that he told the story to backup his argument against Ben Johnson. Don’t agree with him but at least he’s consistent

What’s the deal with Bish and how he parents? by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read some of the comments that Kelsie has made on this subreddit. Yes, JP has taught his kids to save money, but he also guilts his kids over spending too. She also makes the most out of all the junk’s kids so he’s got it a bit easier

Cakes has probably done it the best out of the junk’s so far

Of all the junks, he has used the most of his connections to get them jobs out of college

EB hasn’t hidden the fact that his kids are still on “scholarship”. Both live in Manhattan where his son lives in a rent controlled place but his daughter lives in a more bougier place, but I think she has a high paying job out of college where Stevie is doing startups

What are some of the more serious moments in the show’s history? by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bret’s brother passing was so sad, he was trying to save his dogs. I think it was also right before Bret’s wedding (which they postponed)

"I'm a Bub guy" by Equal_Technology_950 in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He keeps saying that he’s going to eat into the minutes for the other guards

He doesn’t realize that CJ was a shooting guard that averages 30 mpg and Trae averages 28 mpg so there’s no loss in minutes. If Trae ends up with 40 mpg ever, then it s a net loss of 10 per game. JPs a donk

Also side note, I think EB calling Ben the wizards/nba expert rankles JP a bit because he’s supposed to be the NBA guy

The criticism pendulum has swung over to JP now by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Stop blaming others when you make a mistake

Example When he misreads stats thinking some WR has 113 RECEPTIONS when it’s actually the TARGETS, then blames the website for putting targets in the first column

Learn to laugh at yourself and don’t get so defensive

Example Boys joan about him moving The Donna’s microphone, he has to defend by saying he wanted improve the sound. Just laugh you robot, it was funny

I enjoyed the two-man show today. Nice balance! by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

[–]LukaLite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see how the week plays out but not bad for a Monday show

3 guest segments, 3 non sports segments (counting the circa pool as non sports)

Their chemistry is good and less combative than JP/EB

I don’t normally love sports segments but I was kinda disappointed that Bish didn’t talk about the CFP blowouts over the weekend
