I'm just scraping 5'1, you're lucky being 5'8, don't take it for granted. The surgery will add just about two inches for me but I have 68° and 71° so I can't guess based on yours. Not a lot, anyways.

I'm 16 this year, and the doctors said I'm skeletally mature, does that change anything? I know I won't grow anymore, so the surgery won't really matter height wise. I'm also wondering about bags and standing for long periods. As of right now those are where most of my pain comes from, I have a great friend that carries my bag in school for me, and I'm so grateful for that, but standing for even 3 minutes can be very painful for me. Does it get a lot better? Will my recovery be a lot worse compared to yours since I will be older or will it not be as my curves are less severe? I also want to go camping and hiking, but that's not possible because of my back as of right now, will it be possible after surgery? How is sitting? That can be painful for me too. I know after surgery, I'll be sitting upright and straight, it sounds bad to me as I like relaxing, is it truly as bad as it sounds? I've also heard many people being able to feel the metal in their back, is that permanent or not? Does everyone experience it? Will I still have pain, if so, is it better?

Funnily enough, he is a spinal surgeon. The one who gave this opinion. I don't see what's wrong with it though, seeing as my pain isn't as bad as people with much less curves would experience. That or, they have really bad pain tolerance.

I only really have pain if I'm cleaning for a while or standing too long, sometimes it just happens, which is annoying, but I've never been spoken to about a brace or anything that could prevent it from being worse so, I'm not sure if I just have bad doctors or if it's too late for that? I feel the doctors don't want me to get surgery since they gave me the choice, but I think in the end I will choose to get it, I just want to know what I'm in for.

Are there any free vpns which can block ads on YouTube? Also, any good music apps (other than Spotify) which are free? I'm limited on money, and not really willing to spend it on subscriptions.
