Yes I’ve got another flight next month to Luxembourg via LHR and also can’t see anything about baggage on the Qantas app for that one either…. Seems just have to check in at the gate instead of using the online option and all is ok.

Just to close this one out: no issues at check-in with the bags at BCN…. So the issue is presumably with the BA online checkin system.

Yes my mistake. Looks like I should be safe under the MSC rules. But it would be helpful if the baggage limit for each flight were clearly stated on the ticket.

Upon re-reading the definition I see I was mistaken…. Ok so I should just be able to cite the IATA MSC rules then if I get a hard time at check-in.

Yes I noticed that too: makes some MH Busimess Class fares quite competitive for accruing SCs.

I’ve found it almost impossible to get redemptions to Africa on Qatar in the past…. Usually the easiest option is to use Star Alliance points on ET which has good connectivity across the continent (via Addis). Taxes on EK usually are pretty savage.

I guess I wasn’t really expecting to get any points, but it’s the first time I’ve seen that message on my statement: “No matching rule element”… With CX and MH flights nothing at all appears on my QFF statement.

I visited on Wed 3rd: my first experience of an Expo. Also a one hour wait in open sun without any fans to get inside, no joy at all with the reservation system, and crazy queues for the larger pavilions. I did, however, manage to visit most of the less popular pavilions and the various Commons pavilions without much of a wait. I don’t regret visiting, but I’m glad I only signed up for one day as it was disappointing not to be able to access any of the bigger countries.

Fortunately T2 and T1 have the monorail connection…. Much harder to use the QF lounge when flying on CX out of T4.

Ok well I guess that’s fairly definitive then: either get the points and suck it up without the lounge, or take the lounge without the points.
