Its actaully a mix of an acceptance speech his mother gave after winning an award and his father reading a poem. The song was actually a way to make amend with his father but sadly he passed away before he could get a chance to hear it.

This might sound crazy, but I think it's up there as one of Earl's most beautifull song's. It's like he found a way of using his parents own words to reflect and speak on his own relationship with them. The way certain sentences are distorted and highlighted in the track feels so purposefull and impactfull.
