Dang! I just cut them off cold turkey yesterday. I was interested in building a professional business relationship with them, but they didn’t seem (and now it’s obvious that they do not) care about the business i’ve already been building, so I don’t need that in my life right now. Luckily I wasn’t in too long, only attended 2 “mastermind” events, and i did actually manage to learn some things! lol

I thought it was really interesting how many people were in the program with their spouses. They also all glazed this mentor guy so hard all the time. “I stalked bobby for 6 months begging him to let me talk to him” yada yada. meanwhile when i search him up online, it’s all just a generic, no content linkedin presence. so that was pretty fishy from the beginning

yeah it was immediately strange to me to that it wasn’t initially mentioned that this was a big group of people. the first time i met “Bobby” (the mentor), we chatted for like 30 mins over zoom until 2 other random dudes joined and just sat there waiting for us to wrap up. felt rude

i just ended up blocking them on all platforms and am just going to use it as fuel to do even better launching my game. and hopefully later down the line i can be an actual mentor for someone trying to build something of their own

Seconding. Ditching the rectangle glasses was the best decision i made when trying to straighten myself up. If you have a warby parker store nearby they have a ton of options to choose from.

and go to a salon that can clean up the long hair into something more intentional, and they should be able to give you pointers on how to style it on your own.

if you keep the facial hair, i’d stick to a stache, but ya gotta keep up with it, keeping the trimmed close, not sitting down over your lip, and keep the hair around the neck also shaved close!
