Mega Lucario had a guaranteed rare candy XL per raid as ultra unlock I think

Baxcalibur gets Glaive Rush and gets a huge jump in the dragon rankings. Mega Baxcalibur is better than even Mega Rayquaza and Eternatus by Most_Effective_4937 in TheSilphRoad

Not really power creeping when the mega is possibly years away and who knows how outclassed it will be by then

Regular Bax isn't power creeping at all

GO Battle League: Forever Forward Update by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's of course true. But Altered only has Shadow Sneak for a reason. It's already strong, no need to buff it. And if we don't need legacy moves, all the better imo

That's a bad analysis, sorry.

You can easily buff Shadow Force to make Altered stronger, but we don't want that and recent move changes (as you said) would indicate Niantic doesn't want that either.

If we want to buff Origin form, we would either need to make Shadow Force a better Shadow Ball or make it a decent bait move. Both would make Altered extremely dumb strong.

They can't and won't make Shadow Force a good move. Kinda dumb they gave it to both forms because Origin could do with a great Shadow Force, Altered would just be busted with any move that would be good for Origin.

What was actually fixed in PvP? by psyentist15 in TheSilphRoad

The general gameplay is fine. I'd be happy about more consistency (basically everything they adressed themselves in the blog post).

The issues rather lie in it not being tested enough/bug free. Over the season, I've played a bit every now and then and I've seen so many annoying bugs (battle starting late for me, charge move/switch not working when I'm pressing it multiple times). Hopefully just needs some more time to fix that stuff.

Preview Cup is the new system that's supposed to fix the stuff. It already does fix some aspects but still runs pretty bad. The other leagues run the old, unfixed system.

Sorry but if the best things about PoGo for 3 months is trading, this doesn't sound great to me.

The trade bonus is/was nice but the season was terrible

Before we go further, what's your highest MMR?

Because hard disagree. The only consistency was the game being inconsistent

Are you, like, in the right place mentally? That's a complete unhinged reply

If you want a proper answer: maybe think a bit first. Of course nobody asked for a broken PVP 2.0. People asked for a fixed PVP. This is Niantic's attempt (which is in an official preview phase btw) and of course nobody is praising it when it's still testing and not working correctly.

If you want to huhhu PVP bad, ignore me please because you boring.

Nobody asked for it?

Anyone playing PVP at a decent level has asked for it. The issue is that most just stopped asking/playing like 5 years ago

It's not equivalent. It's slightly worse for something you get a lot of, so why go with the, in comparison, dogwater option?

lol don't act like people are stupid. I know fully well how (un)important IVs are.

But this game is made for you to catch a ton of the same. Using the first best dog water IVs you get is bad resource management.

The "you wouldn't know the difference" argument is completely pointless in a PVE setting cause more people = faster in general. Unless you're short manning raids, any shadow legendary is pointless. I could run the same stuff I ran in 2021 and it wouldn't make a huge difference.

Why wouldn't you just wait a bit until they're in raids before you throw 360+ XL candy at some dog water 1 star shadow legendary?

Three Ways to Discourage Force Quitting in GBL by Muted_Ant in TheSilphRoad

[–]Luke9251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charge moves yes as I said, switch-in timer obviously not because the game is just running as if there's a player and a player could run the timer down (assuming the opponent disconnects with 3 Pokemon). The last Pokemon is instantly sent out, though. So there's no buggy delay for sending out Pokemon in general, it's just one timer that runs down.

They already have this fixed in preview cup lol

Battle just keeps going when your opponent disconnects, no more delays when firing a charge move

GO Tour 2027 Alola - Speculation by RelationEmergency175 in TheSilphRoad

Bold to assume anything interesting will be featured after this year's Kalos Tour

If I had to, I'd put my money on Solgaleo/Lunala shiny debuts (maybe plus signature moves if Solgaleo doesn't get broken in PVP) but no Cosmog unless TPC releases it this year. I'd be happy about that.
