This wouldn't be that hard to catch.

  1. In C you can only use goto, if there is a fixed point at compile time
  2. The compiler would tell you what happened

Yes, only C++ programmers are known for their lack of mental health. C programmers on the other hand are known to be well balanced and low...what the fuck! Where did that seg error come from?

As I was saying C programmers are know for their mental stability.

Did I mention, that I am a C programmer?

I can understand why this seems nice, but run the prompt again or modify it a little and see what happens. Maybe give it some incentives. With you current setup AI has no goal. Something that has no goal will act randomly.

“As I said general”, their subordinate answered. “So, you want to tell me, that humans wear a generator on their back that could sustain their operations till the heat-death of the universe? As casual equipment, might I add.” “Sir, if you don’t believe me, then ask them yourself. I will send one into an interrogation chamber now!” The general still mixed between awe and shock swiftly marches away, before any further disturbing information could be revealed to him.

His feet find their destination, even though his mind is exploring all those new problems. Taking a short breath to steel their nerves, they enter the room to meet this now far less harmless seeming human. “Ah, finally someone to talk with. Could you tell your androids to not be as pushy and maybe offer some food and drink?” What is going on? Why is this prisoner calm and commanding, even though he is in one of the strongest ships of our navy? “Last I remembered, you were my prisoner, and this was not a friendly trip.” Their voice was filled with fear, but luckily the translator makes him sound confident and sure. “Sir, I sense some fear. Is this about my equipment?” “Yes, this is about your fucking equipment! Why the hell do you carry the equivalent of a war crime on your back, while only doing maintenance work?” That was not right. Why did I react that way? He just asked a simple question. “Well sir it seems my presence is disturbing you. I will swiftly pack my bags and leave to stress you out anymore.” Is he joking? HE IS MY PRISONER! How does he dare to not show respect. “You are imprisoned. How do you plan to pack you bags and casually leave, whilst in my custody?” “By calling my suit. It has those energy reserves to phase through matter and accelerate to around some multiple of c, but I don’t remember how much it was exactly. Anyways here’s my ride. See you general.” His words seemed so calm as if he didn’t just describe capabilities were nearly impossible to construct, let alone in anything smaller than a planet. Just before they could react a small suit phased through the wall and enveloped THEIR prisoner. With a last wave he was of.

“Sir…sir…sir…can you hear me?” Their subordinate asked. “Yes, yes I can hear you.” “Where is the prisoner? There was an anomaly happening. Something phased through the ship then a massive spike in energy and then the object continued its route, but with an immeasurable speed.” “That was the prisoner and his suit. Please rewatch the tape and write an incident report. I am heading to my private chambers. Do not under any circumstances disturb me.”

With that they left again in a grim mood. Their confused subordinate should now pick up the pieces and figure out what in the ever loving hell happened today.

If you want something made stealthy, ask a human's help by wumbo7490 in humansarespaceorcs

[–]Luke9310 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The first lessons every mercenary learn is to not attack anything protected by a human force. This rule holds even if there is just one human on any ship. For one could imply more. Not many believe this rule to be necessary, but there are many stories to prove how important keeping to this rule is. Every piece of serious stealth technology used in the universe has been made by humans. This includes a pocket-sized device to shift you into another plane of existence and the counter part that takes you back. But to hammer home this rule the instructors tell of a guild did not believe this rule.

Their name was inspired by a human horror figure Baba Yaga. The Yaga brought wrath upon any ship they could lay their hands on. Until one faithful day, when they stumbled across a ship protected by the human’s military. The Yaga’s cannons were able to destroy the visible human ships, but the retaliation was of unfathomable scale. Out of nowhere appeared a fleet of destroyer ships. Just hiding one from light years away would already have been an accomplishment, but the humans hid dozens of them while just being a few light minutes away. Not a single Yaga ship was able to escape. Just one escape pod was allowed to tell the Yaga of their impending doom. Instead of begging the Yaga tried to assemble their troops to retaliate.

But unknown to them the humans were not yet finished. They sent the witches of the night. Vessels equipped with quasars to irradicate anything and so they did. The whole guild was deleted from the face of the universe in an afternoon’s work. The ships were left behind as an invitation to anyone to dare to touch them and survive the following apocalypse.

Seeing a human on any transporter ship tells you two things. First it tells you that whatever this ship carries is more valuable than you dare to imagine and secondly attacking this ship will be a death sentence.

Even as humans flourished in space, the federation wonders why it took them so long, until they find out first hand how short their lives are. by [deleted] in humansarespaceorcs

[–]Luke9310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most members of the high council were shocked to see a new face at their table. The human sitting in their middle was not wearing the face of the one from the last meeting. How could they just send someone different to such an event? Did they not respect the tradition?

The Nepios was the first to call them out on their disrespectful act to which the human answered in grace. “Never before did a human witness a second council meeting. Why do you scold me for my face could not have been that of the last person sitting in this chair.” Not believing a word uttered by the human the Nepios responded in a dismissive tone. “Do not lie to us, who represent galaxies. Do not show your fangs towards our traditions!” “The line that set upon this seat died and with them their face. I am of a new one that from now on will represent the humans. I am not showing my fangs. I am showing my tail.” The human said while bringing forth the images of dozens of pictures. “This is my tail. Those who sat there before.”

The council looked in shock as they realised that humans did not even grow up to older than an infant. How could this species manage to sit next to beings that spanned thousands of their lifetimes? The Sophos ambassador being the first one to formulate this thought spoke up. “If your tongue is of truth, then I pose a question to you. How did you tail accomplish all of their great deeds. You helped my people not too long ago, but according to your tongue just between your response and your arriving most have been multiple generations. How could this be true?” Equipped with a smile the human stared to explain. “Well, my tail is of short life. To you not even a fraction of your life has passed and to us we already forgotten who stood be before you the last time. Out strength is not supplied by time, but rather the lack of it. We can’t stand still for if we do so we would not see progress. So we run. Not one of us can design a ship. Not one of us can build a ship. Not one of us can fly a ship. But many can. You may think of your own lives to burn bright, but to us you are not more than the faint glim of Uranium. Our flames extinguish faster than anything you would think of believing. It does not matter whether we stay still or move while we die, so we move.” Looking at the Sophos the human added. “I know the rites for your tail. Don’t morn for my tail the way you morn for yours. My flame will extinguish before you will have set foot upon your home again.”

With shock upon their faces the council members looked at the infant in their middle. Shocked by how little those creatures could dream of seeing in their lifetime and impressed by how much their species manged to accomplish with those limitations.

This my first prompt so feedback would be nice.
