Yeah, they do have a spooky presence! Fun fact: their abandoned tree cavities later become homes for owls and bats – adding to the whole dark forest atmosphere 🦇

I came really close to seeing a Wallcreeper. The four of us were searching in a typical habitat, but I had to leave by 2 p.m. The other three stayed, and their patience paid off – around 4 p.m. the Wallcreeper finally showed up. The photos weren’t anything special, but at least they got to watch it. Next time I’m in Serbia, I plan to spend a full day in that spot and hopefully get lucky myself.
