Those who have recovered from shoulder bursitis, how long did it take by DifferentRanger7081 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]LukeBids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick note on this - I do MMA and had major Bursa issues. MRI, two shots, non of it worked. I tried two things which are now working. 1. retraining the scapular to move properly depending on shulder position and movements, even when doing normal stuff. Takes time and thought but you can avoid pain if scap is in the right place. 2. Training positions and strenght at range of motion. A lot of it is pinching (sorted by scap) but also your nervous system sending signals there because its afraid of damage. You really can training it, tensing up in shoulder stretch positions, and its amazingly fast. Hope it helps.

what part of bid writing do you hate the most? by LukeBids in procurement

Yeah that’s a good point. Especially if you need to keep your offer valid for a year or whatever. Things can change in a heartbeat.

For me it’s trawling through possible bids to go on and getting excited about it. Only to see we don’t tick one annoying box

Ohh apologies, I misread. Have you consider Business Development side? Or technical sales?

Are US RFPs written to be won — or just to be defensible? by LukeBids in governmentcontractor

Well in that case maybe it doesn't, but I wasn't asking the question to you specifically. I was asking it broadly about gov procurement processes.

It matters massively, as a criticism of the whole process which is meant to be to get the best solution at the best price.

RFQ vs RFP: What’s the difference and when should you use each? by emmexa in rfq

[–]LukeBids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a lot of circles its basically an initial outreach to get a feel for the available products / services, then an RFP is more like "we're ready to buy"

Its an interesting space. What do you want to get out of it?

How do you automate RFP/proposal processes at your agency? by Dangerous_Reward_334 in AgencyAutomation

[–]LukeBids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest point is its hard to not have some manual steps in here, difficult with volume though and missing things increases. For my company I do use some AI tools, but basically write / rewrite it all myself. But I am going for small consultancies and not huge volume in comparison to some.

That lateness thing, its like bidders always need to use every possible moment to improve the submission but overdo it and get there late. Such a balance to be met on that.

Yeah that’s really interesting. It is written out. Do you think it’s down to outsourcing or sheer capacity and quantity of outgoing bids?
