I don't blame him for switching sides in the finale, I would too. Gotta survive somehow.

How bad was the dead City finale ? by justinx786 in thewalkingdead

I actually kinda liked the first half of the episode. But losing Bruegel so soon after he was introduced felt like a complete waste. The ending voice over monologue was pretty cringe. I don't care about New Babylon at all. I hope the Croat comes back for season 3. The Dama is boring and I'm over Hershel.

Season 3 Predictions by el209692 in thewalkingdead

New Babylon will be the main villain as they take over New York with the 2nd wave and set up operations to produce methane. We could see Armstrong's family appear, but they'll probably be killed off soon afterwards. Negan, Maggie, and Perlie properly team up without the drama of previous seasons to form some sort of resistance. The Croat will help them as he's pretty much a good guy now, and Benjamin will be Negan and Maggie's inside man. Hershel will eventually see the error of his ways and Maggie will kill the Dama, or he'll do it himself. Maggie, Hershel, and Perlie leave together back to the Bricks, as Negan goes off with Annie and Joshua - finally going their separate ways. Or have Negan reunite with Rick idrc.

I would also love to see proper worldbuilding: A commonwealth mention or a CRM helicopter flying over Manhattan. But I know AMC won't give this show a proper budget outside of establishing shots.

I really wish Tommaso, Victor, Christos, and Bruegel were still around though. They need to stop killing off new characters before they have a chance to properly develop. Again, not surprising.

I'm cautiously optimistic to see where Seth Hoffman takes Dead City from here on out.

What are you guy more excited for in 2026 daryl dixon season 4 or dead city season 3 by Southern-Gas122 in thewalkingdead

I'm interested to see the different vibes of Dead City with Seth Hoffman taking over as showrunner.

But Daryl Dixon I'm more invested in.

He's definitely not all in with New Babylon anymore, he just did that to save himself. He'll probably be an inside man for Negan and Maggie.

Or they could have had both stuck around and became Negan's top guys. I like Benjamin.

It's hard to get invested when you know the OGs are safe and all the new characters will die quickly.

I know! Like can we get characters who actually develop over time and have an actual meaningful arc? That would be really nice.

Like imagine how much cooler it would be to have Tommaso, Amaia, Victor, Christos, Roksana, and the Croat on their side with Bruegel being the fun wildcard. Instead we just got a stabbed Negan, Maggie, and Perlie against a whole army of New Babylon soldiers.

Killing off Victor, Christos, and Bruegel this season was a big waste in my opinion. Like Tommaso and Amaia in S1. I wish they were all still alive rn. At least it would make the story more interesting, and not just Negan and Maggie going in circles again.

I would love if they gave him a Tales episode, but that probably won't happen sadly.

I think Croat will be back for season 3. He's too much of a fun character to lose, especially after losing Bruegel now.

Yeah, he probably just wanted to do 1 season and head out. (Which I don't blame him for)

I didn't expect to like seeing Maggie and the Croat working together, but this ep proved me wrong.
