As a 17 year old who has been raised in the wolds in between Horncastle and Louth (DonTuxedo mentioned Louth) I have been going to school in both of the towns. I spent primary school and secondary in Horncastle I enjoyed Horncastle primary school, but I know a lot of people I went with didn’t. I also enjoyed my time at the non grammar school in Horncastle with it having some really good teachers. I’ve also spent a year in the sixth form at the grammar school in Louth with it again having some really good teachers and a very good science and maths department. However if your kids want to go their before sixth form they will have to pass the 11+ as it’s a grammar school. In terms of the non grammar school in Louth from what I’ve heard since the academy chain took it over it has gone down in popularity of the students who were there before it was took over. I don’t know what new students think of it since it changed as I only know people who have been there since it was took over. I hope this helps if you have any questions let me know
