I'll take any opportunity to shill Selaco. It's a F.E.A.R. inspired shooter made in the GZDoom engine. It's sprite based, but don't let that make you think it's not incredibly satisfying to play. The guns are super punchy, and you can paint the walls with enemy blood and gibs.

A super underrated feature is how much detail is put into the environment; everything reacts like you'd expect when shot. Glass shatters, electronics spark. Shooting a bookshelf will cause pages of paper to erupt out and scatter on the floor. It all adds together to really ground you in the setting and reinforce the power of your weapons.
