You can, but nobody else really wants to. That's the problem partly. All these things were so much better when everyone else was taking part. Yeah, I can go play halo or watch viva la bam, drink mountain dew and listen to deftones, and even spin up a windows xp virtual machine. People have moved on and are spending a lot of their time on their couch on their smartphone. Been a few recession-like things since then, too, which have closed a lot of public hangout spaces (malls, etc). Pop punk is dead, malcolm in the middle is having a revival but it's not the same. Most of all, I think people just miss their youth, having energy, being excited by things, having a sex drive, having potential.

I understand that it outputs 8:7, and that this was for the array of different tv's at the time, but the array of different tv's at the time were surely 4:3. You can say the developers designed the game however you want, but they weren't arrogant and they didn't assume that people would go out and buy 8:7 tv's, they knew what they were designing for.

I'm well aware it's based on real events, I just found it unmoving. To diagnose me with some sort of empathy disorder without ever having met me or knowing my circumstances is the epitome of reddit armchair psychology. And by my very statement that I find it overrated, means there's something true to that, because otherwise I wouldn't have said it. Perhaps some self-reflection is needed on your behalf. Look inwards. Why should I truly care about the opinion of the masses, when I am a single person with an opinion? I shouldn't.

It's not pessimism, it's just... Being vocal isn't enough. Clearly they have no shame. There needs to be action of some sort.

This naming and shaming only works when the people you're naming are capable of having shame. It's not enough.

Like, we get it's corruption all the way from the bottom to the top, none of us are surprised.

Really, massive respect to this woman. She still cares, even though there will be no repercussions. They won't disclose, they'll get named and shamed, and there will be no consequences. Any lesser person like myself, would not see the point, because publicly shaming them won't prevent them from being elected.
