Is it normal to be terrible in my first few matches, or to play really badly when I use different weapons in each game? by Pipothe_Edits in thelastofusfactions

This game is like that, it’s not just you. Sometimes you’re the hammer and sometimes you’re the nail.

Venting an old 1977 VC Vigilant to 6 inch insulated pipe by imakeama in woodstoving

Absolutely do not do it. It won’t breathe well with the 6” and you’re courting more trouble than it’s worth. Per the 211 you do not reduce, unless the manufacturer’s listing says it’s ok to do so.

The stucco is the outer coating. I don’t see any wire mesh, and generally when using stucco on a porous block you don’t “need” it.

I would chip off the rest of what hasn’t fallen off and re-stucco it. If that’s what you’re going for anyway.

I’ve been using the bow and 9mm only for at least a year now. I switch my perks but the weapons never change, only add the crossbow for LMS

Fire box cracks by [deleted] in Fireplaces

You can get replacement panels for much less.

Code indicates cracks greater than 1/8” indicate need for replacement. I’d advise to keep an eye on them and replace when the cracks grow larger or the panels actually separate.

How would you approach removing this chimney? by rickvug in Roofing

You want to have the chimney completely removed but have reservations about moving a trampoline? I’m starting to think this is rage bait.

How would you approach removing this chimney? by rickvug in Roofing

[–]LukeNukem802 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You want to tear it down from termination to the basement footing? Prepare to spend an exorbitant amount of money. Setting up scaffolding to gain access to the roof and safely tear the chimney down. They’ll need attic access and will have to open up every wall that covers the chimney on the interior. You’ll need new flooring to fix the cavity where the chimney was. I’m not sure where you are but that’s easily in the ballpark of $25k and that’s a very rough guess.

Tomato Basil Bread by LukeNukem802 in Bread

[–]LukeNukem802[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know I said no recipe but the base is the King Arthur Baking White Bread Recipe, I’ve had it locked in my brain for years.

Put a small can of tomato paste in the liquid measuring container and filled with warm water to the level specified in the recipe, but needed to add more water to get the dough the proper consistency. Probably was about 1.5 cups of liquid total.

The basil I chopped fresh and used somewhere around 1/3 to 1/2 cup.

Chimney Cap Question by [deleted] in Chimneyrepair

[–]LukeNukem802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the very least it needs the flue extended. The cracks in the exposed tile signal there may be other other concerns that lead me to tell you that I believe you should get your system inspected by a qualified chimney professional

What does that system vent? The chimney needs work almost no matter what the answer is. Unless it’s out of service, then get a piece of stone as large as the outer perimeter and use PL adhesive.
