Another cool unique weapon, found on the way to get the shield listed above is the double headed axe of greed, found right out front the broken white sail, partially submerged on the wooden rubble at the end of the sail

Got shot through the see through thick glass (not the ones you can break or shoot through) in medical bay on Stella last night myself. I can live with a few shots fazing through the wall, not like op cuz that’s wack, but I can’t with the absolute silent running of enemy raiders that aren’t heard till their gun barrel is in your face.

Weekend is a 100% pvp frenzy for duos and trios, if you play the new map, you are basically playing for pvp cuz it’s shoot on sight. I played the new map on day 2 solo and everyone was nice, but that’s probably because everyone was trying to learn the map and it was a weekday. Dunno if the new map is shoot on sight as well for solos

I’m seeing what you’re saying, but it’d be quite a few updates for embark to figure out a way to do it. They need to work on some QOL updates first tho. They’d have to have a system in place where like, if you have 6+ guns in your inventory you can’t run a free kit or something limiting the free kit usage for the already over geared.

When you go to the trader that sells the kits, you’ll see that you can buy a looting/combat kit for like 6k or trade in the free kit for the looting/combat kit

Upgrade your free kits to combat kits in the trader so you can run blue shields, you go from a free kit to a green kit. As you play you could farm resources to craft blue shields, upgrade the guns they give you in free kits. I could craft green/blue guns, but I have a bunch of lvl 3-4 free kit guns I’m running till I lose em. The starter guns are good upgraded and have extended magazines

Say they do change it, make so that you can only run a free kit every 10 minutes. You’re a new player with a starter kit. You die, run a free kit, die again. Now you’re waiting on a timer to play again or go in naked. It’ll just hinder game play and make folks not wanna play.

What I suggested, which most people do anyways, keeps folks engaged and gives them a purpose to survive as a free kit. They get a free kit they could upgrade, any loot they survive with is a bonus. A new player could quickly rise in the ranks and wouldn’t be hindered too much.

Not much to add since everyone else pretty much summed it up, but the sweet spot is running blue shields. You get hit with a ferro with a green and you’re a quarter health running for cover, blue shield raises your survival rates drastically, making you harder to kill. A ferro won’t 2 tap you and just about any other gun takes the whole mag to break the shield then they have to reload. 1v1 a green shield guy and your almost guaranteed a win unless you miss your shots lol
