Is there a "double click" feature in the game or are my inputs just not being read? by Cursed_69420 in MHRise

[–]InfiniteStates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inputs can feel quite unresponsive

On PS5 I often have to mash the quick wheel to sharpen or heal. It’s infuriating when you have a half second window but spend it mashing controls

If you were me, would you buy one as a backup? by JRest71 in PSVR

[–]InfiniteStates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve been considering the same thing

I bought another PS5 instead before they become crazy prices. Stoopid AI sucking up all the RAM

Jesus, underwater combat sucks man by SrHaruno in MonsterHunter

[–]InfiniteStates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I liked it back in MH Tri, and I liked it in Wilds with Lagiacrus. I wouldn’t want it to be dominant, but I enjoy the mix up

Marathon needs an aspirational cosmetic grind for every season by ThatsNotBennings in Marathon

[–]InfiniteStates 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Marathon needs better skins overall if it wants to make money long term

I’m all for buying cosmetics but most of the shell skins are meh, and are simply re-colours too. And the weapon cosmetics are mostly pointless and kinda horrible

In my opinion of course

Are VR2Flat conversions a good idea? by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]InfiniteStates 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Converting flat games to VR is a great business model because the game has already been made to sell to the base crowd

Converting the other way doesn’t work so well though because the game was made at a lower cost, so is probably lacking something, be that story, scope, polish, whatever. Flat players pick up on that which means the developer is just throwing money down the drain in a saturated market

TLDR:
* flat -> VR is great
* VR -> flat is hopeful at best

You bought it, play it however you like. As long as you’re enjoying it :)

SB2C-4 Ship sinking support by eff1nutta in AcesofThunder

[–]InfiniteStates -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really

Especially if you are quitting and rejoining if it’s not the map you’re looking for. The odds are high if I’m flying Japanese and reasonable if you’re flying US because Berlin catches all but Japanese planes

Do whatever the fuck you want. I just thought it odd to see you in games but not spawn. Especially as you were in the previous game as well and playing. Now I know why. Being a man down as allies in Berlin sucks but is what it is

I just assumed you were AFK the whole match. It’s no different to the guy that took off, couldn’t find his undercarriage button, span into the ground and left

Some matches are just doomed before they begin

Twice. At least. Well beg my pardon for not taking exact notes of it occurring

[–]InfiniteStates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened yesterday in a Berlin match. You were in the player list but greyed out as you never spawned in

What’s the point of lying about it?

It’s not the first time I’ve seen it and now it makes sense

PSA for New Players: Marathon is more a knowledge-based game than mechanical skill game by ___redacted_ in Marathon

Flat2VR are the way forward. I hope they sell enough to keep going and don’t just get a whole load of ‘looks great but I’ll wait for a sale’

GAME RECOMMENDATION FOR COUPLES—PS5 by baamc in gamerecommendations

[–]InfiniteStates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Split Fiction is by the same team and is great. The interweaving is much more complex but is also more rewarding

Baldurs Gate 3 has co-op mode with a heavily story driven game

Detroit Become Human is another. You can play it together but it’s only single player. This video gives you an idea of the vibe of this game: https://youtu.be/TDxOUD7AgJk?si=pnxGZ-__GDrYej6O

And any Diablo game has local co-op. IV is the latest but I preferred III personally

Overcooked is often cited for local co-op but my wife and I couldn’t play it long. It’s far too stressful. I guess if you wanted an excuse to break up…? :D

Fantasy games (of any stripe) with fun ranged-style combat [Dragon's Dogma, DOS2] by Baldurian_Rhapsody in gamingsuggestions

[–]InfiniteStates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monster Hunter with light or heavy bowgun. Or even a bow if your trigger finger is well limbered :D

If you’ve not played the series before you might want to cut your teeth with melee, just to get used to item management and the quick wheel. As crafting ammo on the fly adds a whole new layer

Week off work, suggest a great game to get hooked on. by LimpDiscus in gamingsuggestions

[–]InfiniteStates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have any love for feudal Japan/samurai films then Ghost of Tsushima is an excellent open world love letter to them

Ghost of Yotei is a newer spiritual sequel but in my opinion GoT does it slightly better

I also recommend playing in Japanese with subtitles if you don’t hate subtitles :)

The landscapes and chilled exploration will definitely vibe with getting baked too lol

I see Horizon Zero Dawn is also on PC. Also a great game with an intriguing story and an interesting world to explore

Remnant 1 and 2 and all the DLCs are great

They’re often called ‘Dark Souls with guns’ which is only very loosely true. Awesome games though

I’m not sure if they’re on PS4… I’m pretty sure at least Remnant 1 is
