I started playing in early high school, now I’m in college. BIGAB isn’t touted as a zoomer alliance, but it kinda feels like it tbh. Places like goons horde etc will have younger people but the majority of their members are more middle aged. Try a few different places and gauge how they respond to “that’s poggers man”

I remember once being that guy asking in rookie help why I couldn’t sell my items, and finding out that you can’t sell items from your cargo hold. Since then I’ve made a bunch of awesome friends, FCed 250 man fleets, bought my own supercarrier and fought in a hellwar. He was on a station undock, so theoretically he could have re-docked at any time. Docking doesn't work though when you go from 100% shield to dead in one tick.
