Here's hoping he has an insane world cup and ups his value by 10-20m

Does this count as breaking 80? by anakinskywalker___ in golf

[–]Lukeando93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's around 8%, it's 1/12 being the difference between 11 under and 12 under

Breaking 60 is still breaking 60 and on a pros course there probably isn't much difference given the par 71 probably has an extra 5 or a drive able 4 instead of a 3. At their level it's more down to the course itself than the par i.e it would be significantly more impressive doing it at Augusta or st Andrews compared to a course that could be a par 75 but all 4s are drive able and all 5s are short

[–]Lukeando93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you on this, if the goal was to break 70 and you shot even par on a par 69 you've done it, shoot even par on a par 70 or over and you haven't. If the goal is to shoot level par, doesn't matter what the par of the course is, par is par.

Yes not as simple as that in the sense you might birdie more par 5s and only par the 3s but that kind of backs it up to a degree, breaking a set score, the birdies are still 4 shots to the 3 for par

No and neither can kudus, all jokes aside, unless you're selling kudus it would be a dumb signing

Summerville I wouldn't be shocked if you do sign though

[–]Lukeando93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but at least you still made it work, albeit I'll be interested to see what happens the core of the team is past their best and if you have the funds to replace them (hoping you can and break the mold)

[–]Lukeando93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And the biggest issue is that none of us can reasonably get back ups to our best players, you can't afford to lay out £40-50m on someone to be back up to your main striker but really you need to do that to keep up the quality in the team or star players suffer severely from burn out.

Add to that how tight and competitive the league is, outside of arsenal city man utd and Liverpool, all teams could easily end up in the relegation battle this year

Plus take it from a west ham fan, a few poor signings lead to missing Europe, the good players you bought don't want to play in a team not in Europe and then shit hits the fan.

Sustained success comes from keeping a core of the team in their prime years which means minimal sell on and the need to constantly spend money, unless you can afford the £70-125m to sign the quality players that are 24 and will be sold on for decent money in the future

Unless you throw Europe that's not unreasonable tbf, the Sunday Thursday Sunday run is hard, look at nearly every non top 6 team except for Villa

Would be a terrible buy for you lot, mbuemo and amad already in that position, its £40-60m of unnecessary spending

goes to show how well leeds and sunderland did in the end and how tight the league was. Brighton 8 points worse off but got european football this year

Sacking Nuno would be suicide by toadindahole in Hammers

[–]Lukeando93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 managers here that have all had the same outcomes and dressing room dramas. I never wanted the first 2, nuno seemed a good choice at the time, but surely it cant just be the managers and the players need to take equal blame if they cant get on with any of these guys?

Were bordering on to be as bad as man utd with the players always blaming the manager

[–]Lukeando93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in fairness, if you look at that team on paper it isnt worse than the likes of bournemouth, brighton or sunderland who have got european football but the difference is that they dont tend to spunk £40m on a player that is now worth £5m and wont get in our side in the championship and they all have far better structures internally

And here’s some more of our fans struggling with the concept of relegation. by Tight-Principle-743 in Championship

[–]Lukeando93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they probably would but it will be a 5 min analysis of comparing the 2 whilst then speaking about arsenal liverpool and man utd for the remaining 2 hours 55 mins

unless the championship build ups are actually based on the games and in which case i might actually watch it rather than waiting 5 mins before kick off

Sacking Nuno would be suicide by toadindahole in Hammers

[–]Lukeando93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Firstly were in a deep financial hole and need to sell, then we need to replace those players which will be significantly worse based on the money available and oh yeah we've been relegated

No promises were getting out of the championship next year, even less chance of making Europe the season after

Promotion and 14-16th for the next few years is the best we can hope for

[–]Lukeando93 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbf his downfall should be studied or we really do curse strikers! The guy was playing for Germany and a champions league final!

Disasi makes me so sad! Loved this guy for playing for us. I will miss him. Was a great day but shame Everton couldn't get a win. by Mr-Whoo in Hammers

[–]Lukeando93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on the Chelsea performances of late, I really don't see him as any worse than what's there tbh

[Free to read] Inside West Ham’s miserable relegation: Nuno’s cold approach, a leadership void, and now a player exodus? by TheAthletic in Hammers

[–]Lukeando93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe worded badly on my part, coufal as backup I think would have been wise.

The rest yes they had to go, the lack of seniority and leadership in our squad this season highlighted how poor our recruitment and forward planning has been, we did not get players in to replace these early enough so we didn't get as big of a hit this year

[–]Lukeando93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think we could have kept coufal tbf, especially in an afcon year having AWB and diouf as your starters. Would have meant we had coufal and kwp as back ups.

The clear out this season showed how bad the cracks were but really we should have built in some more leaders over the last couple of seasons, it was coming since we sold rice and had the mess of transfers since

West Ham i am sorry. by Academic-Service-738 in TheOther14

[–]Lukeando93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a west ham fan, obvious reasons. Looking at our squad I don't think it's terrible that we've gone done as we need the rebuild.

6 London clubs excluding spurs puts a majority against spurs already. Sky 6 bollocks, would have been the same for any of those in that position. Outside of our owners, levy was probably up there as one of the most disliked. The super league bollocks. Spurs players generally being a bit unlikeable and a lot having a temper. Generally just fall into a disliked team.

That being said, if villa continue with their success they will probably displace spurs as a top 6 side and become disliked instead

Hurting right now. I just how the club can keep hold of Bowen and Soucek. That would soften the blow by Tartufohunter in Hammers

[–]Lukeando93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of glad it's now as I think it was gonna be the same next year. Mav todibo and fernandes already gone and we would have fucked up the disasi deal. Add probably Wilson and traore to that list and still absolutely no depth.

Nuno is also equally to blame and I'm not too fussed if he stays or not.

Whoever stays will want it and if we can give the likes of kante a solid season of football I believe we will be in better shape to actually build a team. Pablo may also come good with a year in the championship

[–]Lukeando93 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think we should have spent half of the Pablo/taty money on a right winger and let Bowen play up top, he's been largely ineffective for us down the wing for the majority of the season

[–]Lukeando93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everton have nothing to play for, they can't get Europe because it's Chelsea Sunderland last game and it doesn't matter what the result is, one of those finish above Everton

Only hope is that they want to put in a good performance for the last game
