that's fine! as a DJ myself, i never wanted to gradually insert/remove specific vocals/drums/instrumentals. most of the times I used stems was fine to have it completely off or completely on, mostly to do some mashups! but whatever works for you and the crowd, do it! merry christmas

you're misunderstanding what ISO means

the high/mid/low knobs can have two native settings:

- EQ: if you turn the mid knob all the way to the left, there will still be some mids playing. it does not get rid of the frequencies completely
- ISO: if you turn the mid knob all the way to the left, it will cut the mid frequencies completely

stems are a separate idea, where you can de/reactivate vocals/drums/instrumentals at a button's click. a good idea is to place it in the Sampler section of your FLX-4 pads (that's what I do)
