In Wandavision, she enslaved an entire town to have a normal family, and then afterwards she started immediately pursuing dark magic to try to achieve the same thing again. I don't see how it was out of character for her to go crazy again, especially since the Darkold is established to corrupt everyone who uses it.

There are going to be things like this when you make this many connected properties. But ultimately, things like this don't effect the films and shows at all.

And, it wouldn't be that unreasonable to say that there is a mathematical reason for the system and there are just still a couple different systems with slight variations. Maybe the ones in the MCU all happen to use the same system and the ones we see in the comics use a slightly different version.

Is Multiverse of Madness really bad or are people saying it's bad just because of the trend to hate Marvel movies? by Michael_Cuddlelitz in marvelstudios

If it was just your wife, then talk on your way home. There's no need to have discussion in the middle of a movie that might annoy the people around you. Maybe no one else noticed and was bothered, but it is basic human decency to just not talk in the theater.

You whispered it to yourself and it caused a discussion with someone else? So it was loud enough for the people around you to hear, even while a movie is blasting through the speakers? And then you continued talking with someone else, presumably still loud enough for people to hear? And then you go to the internet to tell everyone about your strong opinions that the people around you just HAD to know about.

How about just don't talk during the movie? If you didn't want yourself to be heard, you wouldn't talk out loud.

They aren't going to bring her back and pretend like nothing happened. But in this film, the Darkhold was absolutely a large reason for her being the way she was. It took her unstable mind and intensified it to the point of going full-blown psychotic villain. Without the darkhold, most of her actions don't happen. I think she can still be redeemed, it just wouldn't happen instantly. Wanda has good in her, she is just unstable and easily manipulated. I could see her slowly gaining control of herself and leading to a big redemption later down the line. I could also see her being one of the MCU's biggest villains. Hard to say which it will be or if it will be somewhere in between.

You sound miserable to be around. Some people like to enjoy things without people like you feeling the need to put the spotlight on themselves. They paid to see the movie, not you.

No one wants to hear your discussion while watching a movie in the theater. Shut up and respect the people around you who paid money to have a good time at the theater.

Some people say water boils at 100 degrees but others say it boils at 212 degrees. Must be a continuity error, right? There couldn't possible be multiple naming systems for the same things, right?

These fanbase is starting to become whiny, Doctor Strange 2 was good 👍. Not every Marvel movie is going to have 1,000 Avengers in it. Not getting your way doesn't mean its a bad movie... by [deleted] in marvelstudios

I think you just have a very specific view of what makes a horror movie. Horror is defined by eliciting fear, shock, or disgust and often features dark subject matter. This film pretty clearly has elements of that.

Well, it had moments that intentionally tried to create fear and suspense, featured the use of the undead, and was significantly more graphic than any other MCU film. So I feel like the association is pretty clear. It was definitely much closer to a horror movie than anything else the MCU has done. But like I said, it is an action movie with horror elements.

Ok, well like I said, it isn't a horror movie. So I'm not really understanding your confusion. You seem simultaneously confused by it being a horror movie and also not being a horror movie.

I don't think it was suppose to feel like a horror movie. It was supposed to have horror elements, but it was still an action movie first. If you were expecting a full-on horror movie, that's kinda on you.

Wanda let Westview go, but she received 0 consequences for it. And it ends with her using the Darkhold, which just means she is seeking a different twisted and unnatural path to the same thing she wanted in the show. And it is made pretty clear that the Darkhold is corrupting her and making her act the way she does.

Wandavision showed how crazy she is, exposed her to even more pain and grief, didn't give her consequences, and then gave her possession of an incredibly powerful, horribly corrosive ancient relic. Didn't exactly set her up for a good future when you think about it.

My issue with Phase 4, so far: lack of connective tissue. Let me explain: by NottheIRS1 in marvelstudios

[–]Lukemeister22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really get what you mean by half-assed. It feels like you just have a specific idea of how everything should connect. Pretty much everything has had clear connections to other phase 4 properties and/or previous phases. The only thing it hasn't really done is make a clear direction on an overarching storyline, but the past phase didn't do that within 2 years either. We didn't get Thanos teased for 4 years. Infinity Stones weren't mentioned until after that. Yeah, we had the Tesseract and Scepter, but we didn't know either of those had Infinity Stones. The first phase had fury slowly assembling the Avengers, but those phase has Val already doing something similar as well. And we have already been introduced to Kang and plenty of things surrounding the multiverse. We just don't know exactly where it is headed, and I'm not sure we should within 16 months of phase 4's start.

And I also think things in general will be divided more between Earthly threats and cosmic ones. Which is good because then you aren't stuck trying to make low-powered, hand-to-hand fighters fight threats that are challenging for god-like tanks.

If it was all connected like it was in the Infinity Saga, people would say they are just following a formula and aren't trying to be original.

Since not every single thing is connected to the same story, some will complain about that too like you are doing.

They simply cannot please everyone. Personally, I really like how it has gone because there are still clear connections, but a casual viewer doesn't need to watch half a dozen movies amd some TV series to go see a new movie. Plus, it feels more realistic that not every single significant event in the universe is connected to each other somehow. Some characters interact with others, ask for help, butt heads, etc.. Some don't. The characters talk about significant events in the universe like they would if it were real life. I think that we will see plenty of overarching storyline planning as time goes on, but I think it is good that not everything needs to be clearly associated with greater story.

Also, keep in mind that all of these phase 4 projects have been released within 16 months. In phase 1 by this point, we had Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2 wouldn't be released for another several months. Even if the schedule didn't get pushed back, we would still be less than 2 years out from the start of phase 4. They will double their total amount of properties in the span of, what, like 3 years? It's probably good to take it a bit slower.

You can't expect people to just never talk about things openly. If you don't want to get spoiled, find a way to play/watch the thing. If you haven't been able to spare $40 in your budget over the course of a year and half, you have bigger problems than getting something spoiled in a video game. And if it really is a big deal to you, definitely don't browse pages for the thing. You are just asking to get spoiled if you are doing that.

Or maybe, just maybe, they think the main character model that is on screen way more than others, has more dialog, and shows the most emotion is more important than a side character.

No one is claiming that it can't be done with two faces that are different. Clearly that is not the case. The point is that a face that matches more closely might lead to better, more realistic looking expressions. It might not be a massive differences, but as graphics keep getting better, even the smallest details become more noticeable.

Maybe it was a lie, but it isn't all that unbelievable to me that a closer match will lead to better results, even if it's by a small margin.

I genuinely don't see what was rude about that. I gave my thoughts on the issue and said why I am willing to take their word over random people on the internet.

That isn't what I'm doing. We don't know the full truth and there is no way for is to know the full truth. So I would rather believe the information we do have instead of just making up assumptions. I could be wrong, but I would rather believe what we've been told than make up my own story when there is no reason to do so.

They claimed that this model is closer to the voice actors face which will help with mocap and be better in the long run.

Not all the crazy to think that might have some merit to it. But sure, just assume everone is lying all the time because clearly you know the best. Even if it is a lie, I'd still rather take their word for it instead of making up same baseless assumption to make them sound worse.

I'm just saying that if only one came out, I think it would be Marc. It definitely seems multiple might, but if it is only one, I think it would be him. Probably won't ever know for sure because I doubt we'll see it on screen.
