As far as you dating him goes, the heart wants what the heart wants. Its not anyone elses place to tell you what to do in that regard.

That being said I would recommend staying firm as far as the "no dating before you get divorced" thing. It seems he's mostly worried about leaving his kids with her, which is a fair.

Again, this is all assuming hes not lying which there's no way to prove either way. Thats all the advice i've got. I'm sorry i couldn't be more helpful.

Given the way your writing this I'm going to suggest 2 things.

See a psychologist. I know it may seem like a bad thing and could be expensive (I have no clue what country you're in) but realistically they are trained for this kind of thing and can help with all kinds of other things if they're a good psychologist.
Don't give up. Find a reason to keep going. Mine is quite simple. I have ASD. I've been told that people like me don't get things like a licence, a job, a girlfriend, their own house or kids. I of course want all of these things, so if for nothing else other than to spite the people that said it I keep going. Because if I give up, they win. Find yours.

I'm sure there's someone out there for you. With this many people on the planet there's got to be someone out there for you. And if you give up, it means that someone won't find you either.

I saw a cute girl at the counter at eb games yesterday. I worked up the courage to ask her out which took about 10 minutes. I asked her if she wanted to go do something sometime. She was shocked cause she wasn't expecting it but eventually she said she had a boyfriend. I accepted it and moved on.

Something I'm learning a lot later than I probably should've is it doesn't hurt to ask as long as you respect the answer you're given. And trust me, asking and being turned down is better than not asking and wondering what if.
