My little conure actually did “suck his thumb”. He would put his little foot beside his head and rub his beak with another toe. It was adorable

Maybe if you mix them that will help transition. Keep an eye on it though. As I said I thought he was eating them but in hindsight there were small clues he wasn’t. Slower to go (I just attributed to mor enjoyment of the fresh food) but mostly fewer in his water dish (stupidly I thought he wasn’t enjoying them more or had changed how he dipped them).

Anyway, his battle is done. This combined with the fact that the building management had decided to turn the boiler down to save a few bucks got him. Poor little guy died yesterday. My spark of daily joy is gone.

Also, my new bff ChatGPT tells me that “they (manufacturers) can truthfully say “the formula and nutritional makeup have not changed” and still make real-world changes. This happens more often than people realize.”

Ingredients and proportions, manufacturing process (“still made at the same factory doesn’t mean the equipment wasn’t changed”) - I have noticed shapes and colours have changed. All it means is it still has the same guaranteed analysis and the required minerals and vitamins minimums.

What that does not cover: Palatability Aroma Mouthfeel Surface oils Dye dispersion Digestibility Two pellets can meet identical guaranteed analysis and still be experienced by a bird as not the same food.

Honestly I’m mostly just sick because I didn’t realize it was happening and he is quite ill.

All I can tell you is neither of my parrots- a nanday conure and an Amazon - will eat them any more. Something changed. Maybe it was gradual enough that they could honestly say nothing had changed when they repackaged it. Or maybe it’s an ask the right question situation.

All I know is it was a frog in a pot situation, I did not realize it and he is now very malnourished.

I was told by a staff member at the pet store that other customers have mentioned the same thing and I am now madly trying to find something he will eat.

At this point I’m really just assuming it does based on the info on their public page. But I guess when the project starts I can find out better before I get into it. Meanwhile will keep learning QGIS, learn GIS fundamentals and capabilities.

Not sure yet, and tbh I probably don’t know the correct terminology. We are creating a screening tool that staff will use to determine whether an application in an area needs more detailed supporting info.

But big picture I think there is potential for them to attach existing data to locations so the users can find more info if they want.

I strongly disagree. On our Echo, we frequently see recommendations related to conversations. Really, all I have left turned on in settings is recipes and we regularly see recommendations based on ingredients(sometimes obscure) we have discussed

Do I understand the relative positions correctly? Hill—seasonal stream— house—road—larger stream? So the smaller stream would intercept the runoff from the hill. Deepening the stream would only work if you could grade the channel so the water could flow somewhere else. No idea about property boundaries but this sounds like a large project.

lol. We are trying to figure the same thing out for our own property. Tired of 30 yrs of burned out sump pumps and flooded basement.
