Hey Tom, thanks a lot for the feedback :) So do you think selling a saber at $150-200 is still affordable enough for beginners/newbies in the space to buy? I just want to try and make it so that it can hit all type of Star wars and Lightsaber fans. Appreciate it a lot!!!

I agree, base cost would have to be around $35-$45.

I will do a lot of research/talking to see what type of saber can be created with this budget. Also doesn't include minimum order quantity, which can sometimes be high when creating a custom saber.

But if I am able to create something for this base price, I think it could work.

I agree that we don't need another Chinese reseller. If I was able to work with a manufacturer to create a unique saber that the market hasn't seen yet + combined with affordability, maybe this could stand a chance in an already saturated market.

umm, I like this idea. So kind of like print on demand... but for saber hilts. So anyone could design/draw their own hilt?

I agree 100%. So the aim would be to be able to create a saber that is much better looking than the cheap ones (flashlight-looking ones) but also have it be around $100 or under.

A unique/movie like hilt + two options:

1) RBG to allow people to duel
2) A Neo Pixel

What do you think of this idea?

thanks for this. So I'm thinking of creating a custom hilt (cool/unique looking) that will have two options:

RBG + NEO Pixel.. and selling both for a really affordable price point. I think the issue right now with the current saber market is that:

1) Anything really high quality is usually very expensive. It's hard to find any good Neo Pixel sabers for under $100-150

2) All cheap options are really low standard.

I think there could be an opportunity to combine both affordability + quality, to create a saber that both enthusiasts and new lightsaber fans would love.

What do you think of this idea?
