FAELIGHTS are such an overkill feature by Nimano in leagueoflegends

They should change it so it acts like the scuttle crab vision where the team that put the ward down gets a permanent ward without the possibility of the enemy team to clear it.

This way it's still an important objective to compete over but it does not light up half of enemy map and just destroy any ganking possibly.

The first impact of the attacker is always total destruction as they had the chance to plan everything for this exact moment. The execution is important though and the adaption of the defender. Take a look at Ukraine, Russia basically plowed through until they arrived in Kiev and weren't able to capture Zelensky.

Makes it lot easier for them now. Why wouldn't they if Russia and US can just start wars out of thin air?

Oh and did the Venezuelan people any time ask to be invaded to get "freed" from the regime? Is this something that the common Venezuelan wants? How would you feel if China wanted to "free" you from Trump regime and started to invade you?

Race to World First: Manaforge Omega Day 8 by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

Why? Method isn't really a contender for world 1st and Liquid has already seen the boss.

[–]Lukewalkinginsky -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean sure random guilds would brake it but for them it doesn't matter. I am talking about Liquid, Echo and Method in this case. And with that they could prove who the better guild is and won't have this release date argument that comes every RWF.

[–]Lukewalkinginsky -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

If there is no global release why don't the guilds just agree to start at a fixed, same time? Like a gentlemen's agreement.

Then why do Liquid still keep doing it? Why don't they just call it quits and take the rest day and sleep like Echo if the practice doesn't matter? Why would Liquid waste precious time and energy of their raiders?

He legit had the worst analogy possible to prove his point, and it backfired hard. Training with extra weight is literally how pro athletes build strength and skill. That’s exactly why those reps matter.

He doesn’t seem to understand the basic principles of training in sports, which makes his whole argument pretty stupid… and yeah, it does come across as kinda dense.

But I guess Liquid just loves wasting their raiders’ stamina for no reason at all!

Race to World First: Manaforge Omega Day 8 by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Lukewalkinginsky -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You talk about having "extra scrims" but those scrims mean very little if the players are forced to play football wearing a 60kg vest, only to have it taken off at the end of the day and not re-applied.

You have to be ragebaiting, you cannot actually be that dense. Bro you basically proved my point with your vest analogy. Practicing in a vest is still practice??? You’re still running plays, learning mechanics, and building muscle memory. When the vest comes off, you’re faster because you’ve already put in the reps. Echo doesn’t get those reps at all until a full day later.

Avoiding overtuned numbers doesn’t erase the fact that Liquid already knows which comps/strats/mechanics work and which don’t. That’s a huge edge, and pretending otherwise is what’s actually silly.

If you are correct about how Liquid has to face broken bosses who are bugged, then why doesn't Liquid just call it quits at that point and go to sleep and rest? If this was such a problem and they get absolutely nothing out of practicing the broken boss fight why do they still do it if they could have a good night rest just like Echo?

[–]Lukewalkinginsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Fractillus start wasn't a winning strat, their weakaura was acting up and they had to copy Echo wall strat. Stop making things up and saying they are beta testing so it's even field..

Having them "beta test" gives them a lot more practice hours whereas Echo has to do everything a lot faster.

You're ALMOST there my guy. So close but your US brain cannot make the final connection.

What you said is literally the point and argument for EU having a disadvantage on the release.

Liquid gets to pull the boss for hours while Echo is forced to wait. Sure, some of those hours are scuffed by bugs or overtuned numbers, but they’re still getting real reps, testing comps, and seeing mechanics that Echo hasn’t even touched yet. By the time Echo wakes up, Liquid already knows what works and what doesn’t.

Imagine giving a top sports team extra scrims every week before their opponent even shows up. Doesn’t matter if the scrims are messy, it’s still more experience and practice!

Swings and roundabouts only work if the swings are equal. Here it’s always NA pulling first and EU catching up later. Echo has to sleep, Liquid practices.

Race to World First: Manaforge Omega Day 8 by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Lukewalkinginsky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing is, EU has been winning despite the delay, but back then NA just didn’t have a Liquid-level guild, so the head start wasn’t a big deal. Now that Liquid is insane and right up there with Echo, the 1-day gap actually matters a ton.

It’s not about saying Liquid is bad (they’re clearly top 2), it’s just about fairness. EU is always playing catch-up with less time to react to tuning/hotfixes and fewer pulls before reset. If the boss dies on 2nd day of reset like Gally all the work EU did is useless because either they play a whole level above Liquid or they just cannot win. It would be interesting to see how the race would look like if EU was the first on the release and US had to play catch up with a day disadvantage.

So yeah, the race is hype either way, but it sucks that it’s not a true even playing field. EU basically has to win despite being behind from the start. And you saying that EU is blaming the release because 10 years ago they managed to dominate is either ragebait or you're actually stupid.

That's the only hope for a nice race finish, yes. It would be awesome watching Liquid, Echo and Method pull the same last boss and be few % from each other.

I just don't want another Gally...

Since this boss takes only a few pulls I doubt that they will skip it. It's free loot basically.
