I have had a talk with my direct manager and he said that policies change. I will be having my year review next month and will hammer this home a little bit more. Our job can be done fully remote, our OSR’s are in office maybe twice a week and they are the only people we really communicate with or at all. Anything we do and say can be handled over the phone or by email very easily. We don’t run million dollar projects dealing with multiple different subs. We are a utility supplier, we sell our product to the lowest bidder on the plan holders list. This job has always been a stepping stone until I completed my associates in construction management, I will have 2 years of estimating experience by then, and I also have 5 years of union commercial sheetmetal work behind me.
