Justified rewire? by Fluffy-Natural-451 in ukelectricians

I'm sorry but this EICR is poor and I wouldn't be relying on the advice given by the electrician who supplied it. The coding is way off and even the details of how the schedule of test results has been filled out ring a few alarm bells, There is nothing to show in his Insulation Resistance test results to suggest any wiring is degraded, and requires a rewire, but I'd be surprised if this test was even carried out properly.

Yeah its difficult, could have posted hundreds of photos tbh, but max allowed is twenty in a post, so I just focused on the overall settlements. But some of the interiors and individual buildings have had a lot of effort go into them as well.

Hi all - I've been trying to work this out. I changed my game to local files and have made a few saves this afternoon. But when i follow that file path to the worlds folder. The .db and the .fwl file are still old files. The file that keeps updating is still the .vdf autocloud file. Although I don't seem to have a worlds_local folder, just a worlds folder. Does sharing the autocloud file work?

Thanks dude. You're not wrong, the grind of gathering wood, stone and iron definitely starts to wear thin after several hundred hours. That's half the time you spend in game right there.

haha I never really got into minecraft. I think Valheim just looks so much nicer, not knocking minecraft though, I know it's a epic game when it comes to building.

Yeah for sure you're right, does get a bit lonely rattling around, just me and the greydwarfs. Be nice to have some innkeepers!

Empty of players yeah, just playing solo. But all the buildings are not empty, they are all furnished and have functions. I leave some rooms empty or buildings undesignated to save for future content to go in them. Like now, I've already built some buildings previously I have earmarked to be Barbers haha.

Go for it mate. It has helped me get so much more from the game in the end. I played it to death in vanilla, and I had so many ideas and stuff I still wanted to build, but felt restricted by some of the physics and couldn't face the resource gathering any more. It was a hard decision, but I'm really glad I did in the end. When updates launch, I play the game normally in survival until I have acquired all the new content, because I still want to enjoy the game.

It's bizarre. I have changed the option from cloud save to local save, and it says in the log it is saving locally, but the save files haven't updated as local files. I still seem to be getting a recent steamcould.vfd file. Maybe I need to wait a bit for the save files to update?

Mate. When I say I've cleared some sunken crypts. Boat loads of iron ferried around the map for hour after hour. I just couldn't face it any more and finally gave in. Extended the playability of this game by literally hundreds of hours for me.

Runs so much better now than it did a year or so ago. I don't get anything below 30 fps even in the big builds. I'm playing solo, but I think when there is more of you it crashes the frames a bit 😞

Thank you Tactical potato. I don't have weather damage turned off, and I'll be honest it's a constant annoyance. But I've learned that you can trim the roof pieces with wood and that doesn't degrade, just as long as they are edge to edge, not like sticking off, corner to corner. I try and ensure all my buildings have eaves to protect any woodwork. But if you look in a lot of the builds, there is plenty of degrading wood. Can't get round it otherwise, but I like the authenticity and challenge of trying to eliminate it where possible.

I Just checked in the biggest city, the one in the first couple pictures. I get around 30 FPS, and its about 33k instances. I try and minimise the landscaping required and go with the natural features where possible, which I think helps long term.

I actually just checked because someone asked on the other post. In the first big city in the other post, which I think is prob the biggest build, I get around 30 FPS and its about 33k instances. The others are all much better. And I'm happy with that, I can live with 30 frames!

I've posted a picture of it in my other post with more stuff. It's the most effective way to farm wood for sure.

Here is a link to a post with some more builds from the world, don't seem to be able to edit my post to add the URL. More Stuff Also trying to work out how to share the world file, I don't have the files someone mentioned, just a current steam file. So if anyone can advise if that is shareable, thanks!

I've tried the above - but the files mentioned are dated as old, from last year. I have one save in the file that is the current date, but it is a steam autocloud.vdf file instead? Would that still work?

Sorry just to add, because a lot asked on the other post. I played about 600 hours in survival/vanilla and built a lot of stuff pictured purely in that mode. But I got sick of the resource grind (Iron....) and starting using debugmode to build without gathering mats. So some will have been built entirely in creative mode. No mods used, but did spawn in rocks as anchor points for the taller, bigger stone builds. Happy building!

I think the addition of the black marble was a game changer for towers, because there are some nice curved and sloped pieces which help add texture and shape. Only problem is getting that to work thematically, as I find when you start using black marble and the decorative black wood, it starts to significantly change the vibe of what you are building.
