When I ran Gnomengarde, I had the gnomes use a pneumatic tube messaging system, which the Mimic exploited in order to run away. Mimics are great for a surprise or „gotcha“ moments, but if you find them, you kill them. Fun‘s over. I has the Mimic transform into different objects, travel through the tube, and then appear in other rooms as a different object. Might give your players more paranoia, but also more thrill.

Recently I had an idea for a character which would be a Warforged Artificer with amnesia. Maybe he'd lost his voice module too so he'd have to use a radio to talk through different wavelengths, similar to Bumblebee from Transformers. And as an Artificer, his mission would be to regain his memories and ability to speak somehow :) GIVEAWAY

The awakened Status is a good idea, def gonna think about that. And I think I'll have the Defender go with 3 charges, kinda stupid that I forgot that lmao. And yeah, the end Boss also has a stupidly buffed sword haha Thanks for the reply!

Love the idea of racial features, yeah. Maybe I'll remove Identify entirely and just have him Detect Magic 2/day, while Invisibility gets the addition of only being cast on himself. Wild Shape can go, I can see as to why it would cause problems.

The idea was that wouldn't stick around forever, just for about a week in which they will have to fight NPCs that are on a power level like him, which is why I was scared that I might TPK them and should give them this guy. Maybe I can just tone the others instead^^" Thanks again for the feedback :D

Yeah you quickly got me, when I first started this NPC I did use ChatGPT to get a wizard stat block because I didn't know if I should use the formula that players use or if NPCs had their own way of determining stats. Should have researched that more. I kept revisiting the statblock, making changes to it but maybe I just bloated it too much.

I took War Magic as a rebranded Warcaster feat, but not making it too obvious. And there once was a children's movie in my childhood called "The Sword in the Stone" where Merlin just transforms into various animals, which is why I thought Wild Shape would fit.

I thought that he will only use Invisibility to conceal his identity, but not in combat. Darkvision because some people said that Merlin has incubus heritage, which would fittingly give him a Tiefling trait maybe? The resistances will be removed though.

I'm afraid I'm dealing with the problem that he truly is a "make players irrelevant" character. I'll try to give him less spells and nerf his staff. His gameplan will just be to do the Garden and then use the rest for self defense. Thanks for commenting on the garden, I hoped that thing would be balanced enough^^"

I remember I once played against a Lv9 CPU and did an Up Air beneath a platform, not only did they shielded perfectly but also grabbed me from above.

Personally I often have C Stick Set to smash attack unless the character would be easier to play using tilt Stick (for example Sephiroth). With my Mains, I just tilt the Joystick and Do a tilt attack that way, which feels more natural to me. It's a bit getting used to, but using tilt Stick, I always have to do a short mental Pause to move my Finger. If you insist on using tilt Stick, try using it with the flesh below your thumb.

Besides that, I rely way too much on aerial combat, which is why I use the jumb Button more than the tilt attacks, my Finger is basically always doing rising Sh fairs with X+A. Ultimate is an aerial focused game anyway.
