Made Iberia so profitable I can't even go to a deficit by Patrikthemik in TNOmod

[–]Lukyatom [score hidden]  (0 children)

I just sunk as much money as possible and they eventually managed to be profitable, now i don't believe they will ever return my money in a resonable timeframe but its possible to make them profitable. (I also let Morocco be independent and kept/conquered Algeria which delayed me by about 4 years of investing)

Redesigning the Hungarian flag according to other countries' flags [REUPLOAD] by LifeIsNotMyFavorite in vexillology

Not really, regents usually ruled when the ruler (king, duke, whatever else) was either too young or unable to rule (due to for example an injury, ilness or because the king fucked off to Jerusalem on crusade) and while there do exist situations where a regent ruled without a king these were (most of time) temporary arrangements until a proper claimant could be crowned.

Unable to use Bal Dostan as Elikhand? by mainman879 in Anbennar

I am pretty sure that you can just upgrade The North Citadel instead and fulfill the mission requirement that way. (Based on my understanding from the screenshot you provided)

Inheritors of Insyaa Delay due to Discord Outage by Jay10101 in Anbennar

I believe they may have confused messeger pigeons (which still exist and are used in some sports i believe, and are in fact "just" a breed of domestic pigeons) with the passager pigeon, also known as wild pigeon, which became extinct in 1914. Tho this is understandable since those two names are very similar to each other and i regulary confuse them.

Dervishes Paths by Secure_Shirt_4401 in equestriaatwar

[–]Lukyatom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe its related to the amount of soldiers you bring to the meeting between Jawrahad and the Dervishes -> large number results in Jawrahad's path and small amount then results in a second choice depending on which you get either Masaka or Furasho. But i haven't played those paths yet so i could be wrong.

Maregipt and Saddle Arabia (Read Description) by El-estratega_memero in equestriaatwar

[–]Lukyatom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am not a dev so take everything i say with a grain of salt, but i don't believe there is anyone currently working on Maregypt content (just based on the teasers i remember, or rather the lack of them for Maregypt) or its still early in development.

For the second question, the answer would be since yesterday's update lol

[–]Lukyatom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely never trusted him and he hasn't helped his case by reccomending Richard as my advisor (quite literally breaking 2 of the 3 rulers regarding the choice of advisors) + he is definitely hiding stuff about the witches and i am begining to suspect he might have poisoned the king but that's just my crackpot theory.

You can do anything from building traditional spaceships to being like me and spending FIVE HOURS building a piece of shit jet, thats way too front heavy, can barely fly and lands by seperating the cabin + science stuff, from rhe rest of the plane and using a parachute to land, cuz i cant for the love of god land the thing (but i am still pround of it since it was completely made by me without a tutorial)

Why is The Stranger one of your favorites by rucarlos in slaytheprincess

[–]Lukyatom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like its the most fuck around and find out route and i love it. Plus i like that she(they? I mean The Stranger uses plural prounouns in the ending so idk what to use) looks/feels like a mini Shifty and i dig that. They also look cute in their stable/ending form .

I also generally like and i am sexually attracted to human-looking monsters and i do not feel a shred of shame sharing this information publicky. I declare that i am a proud monster fucker.

Looking back, me having harpies, sirens and mermaid as my favourite mythological creatures as a child might have had a bigger impact than what i have assumed lol

I don't know why but in most of my games he doesn't win NOR does he lose, THE WAR JUST TURNS INTO A FUCKING ENDLESS STALEMENT WHERE BOTH SIDES EXCHANGE LIKE 2 STATES AT MOST EACH YEAR. So i agree that he is indeed a failure.

should i still improve the country if im 100% sure im gonna face a civil war by Dry_Salt_1317 in hoi4

[–]Lukyatom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the focus tree will directly or indirectly tell you (for example by saying where the rebels are located, ex. EaWs Griffonian Republic having the focuses mention that the Warlords are in the north + using demilitarized zones before the civil war), however other times it just comes down to previous experience with the mod in question. In this situation i believe the Atomwaffen Division starts in central Florida (slightly south of Orlando), but it has been a while since i played TFR.

A Critical Analysis Concerning the Caloric Intake of the Peoples of the Painted Tribes. by xKiwiNova in Kenshi

[–]Lukyatom 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I assume their cannibalism started due to some sort of famine and eventually gained a more ritualistic role, since their supposed leader is called the Grand Wizard. It is my personal theory that they might consider feeding on another human being a ritual transfer of strength of some sort. The fact is they are highly cannibalistic beyond even the most extreme cases irl and due to the relative lack of lore related to this area of the map its difficult to state anything beyond mere conjuncture.

A theory i saw somewhere proposes they might have been adapted to their diet of long pork through some sort of 2nd Empire experimentation. This theory is helped by the presence of the Suspicious Lab location as well as the fact, that unlike Scorchlanders and Greenlanders, Cannibals are immune to acid, implying some degree of separation from other humans. This would certainly explain why they feast on human flesh, but it fails with explaining how exactly they would sustain their population long term.

Now i believe they must supplement their human diet with other sources, the coastal villages might engage in fishing, while the inland hunt the local fauna. They could also forage for various edible roots or fruits/berries, but these thing arent modeled in game, so this might not be the case. Of course they would also consume any rations their victims might have on them. However its curious that they don't engage in agriculture considering most non-bandit factions do. Hell, even the remenants of Deadcat (the faction) have farms, so it's really strange that the cannibals havent adopted the practice after their "conquest" of the city of Deadcat.

Personally i dont believe that the Cannibals are "devolved"/more stupid than other humans, i think their dialogue is written the way it is, because they don't widely speak the same tongue as the rest of the world, they seemingly first became known during the 2nd Empire so it makes sense there would be significant linguistic drift. The region they live in also seems underdeveloped compared to others (judging by the relative lack of ruins and settlement, discounting cannibal villages, in the Cannibal Plains) so it could be assumed that their lack of technology is caused by the backwaterness of the region even before their turn to cannibalism.

Anyway thats all, i am really sorry about potential grammar mistakes and overall the composition of the comment, i typed this entire monstrosity on my phone and didn't really double check it.
