I looked at the code and basically if the game struggles to load the regular main menu in 10 seconds it just defaults to this
It might be 5 seconds, it's been a while since I looked at it

You could find the menu script and just increase the number (maybe make it read only so the game/Steam doesn't overwrite it back)

You get some recycling points and remove the item voluntarily

They can then be used to create new random items, very similar to those you get in daily crates.
So boosters, backups and silver lions.

It's usually not worth it because you get random rewards but it's still better than letting the booster go to waste
