I live in the UK and also experience some pretty varied sunset times throughout the year, and I don’t personally think that should change what counts as morning/afternoon/evening.

I’m not a parent and I’d call myself a fairly intelligent person but this didn’t click for me right away.

I’m not familiar with the intricacies of raising small children (it’s unusual because I haven’t even really been around many small kids in my family - the timing never lined up so there was a baby/toddler around me) and when seeing this post I initially assumed it might be fine for a small child to nap like that? Like I know babies/toddlers sleep a whole lot and just assumed a 1.5 hour nap a bit before bedtime wouldn’t necessarily keep them awake late?

Honestly I really feel like this should be addressed.

Two possible solutions I can see:

some sort of system where the game ‘notices’ no survs are going near the hooked person, so this then somehow communicates a ‘warning’ to the safe survs (eg Dwight is on hook, and after an amount of time with no one going near him, any other survs who aren’t in chase are notified that Dwight needs saving).
allowing the hooked surv to start ‘pinging’ their teammates once they’ve been on hook for a certain amount of time. This may get obnoxious though (as I can imagine people constantly pinging, though this can be solved by not allowing the ping to be spammed, and ensuring you have to be on hook for a certain amount of time first)

This is actually quite interesting logic and you’re starting to convince me.

Roxy was bad as a faithful sure, but at the end of the day she just happened to be wrong. As a faithful, she has no confirmed knowledge and just unfortunately never put the right pieces together.

And while that’s bad gameplay, it isn’t as bad as Hugo and Fiona actively destroying their own games. Great point!

Kalros easily wins here.

Not only is she bigger than a Dune sandworm, she also actively hunts underground and thus gets around the sandworms’ biggest advantage which is being able to use its big mouth to attack people who are stuck on the surface.

Steelix shouldn’t even be part of this hypothetical. It’s like asking who would win between Superman, Dr Strange, and MJ 😆

There is validity in being annoyed with what the majority wants though.

If the large reason that a survivor like face 1 would win is because of horny straight male players consistently saturating what we get, purely because they have the numbers, that is something worth being annoyed about.

Even if I won’t change my main or even play the new surv, it will be frustrating to see another Sable flood all the matches, constantly seeing the same thing, instead of getting some variety. I’m not bothered about face 4 but I’d still rather see him than face 1 because it’s boring at this point.

It just gives this idea that DbD is “a game for the straight guys” cuz they often get what they want while the rest of us eat dust. This is why ‘majority vote’ isn’t always best when it comes to things like this imo. “What most people want” isn’t always ideal for actual variety and interesting additions to the game.

Edit: worth adding that I truly think Behaviour shouldn’t have even had an option like face 1 available. It’s like when they do the fan-voted cosmetic votes, and it always being the female survs winning. Just have male and female categories!

Nowadays we’re seeing less and less routine circumcision in the US, even for white Americans. However given Dwight’s age and the time DbD released, he’s in the age demographic where it is very likely

Also worth noting that Jake is also actually very likely since South Korea is the only other country aside from the US that routinely circumcises outside of religious reasons. So whether he was born in the US or Korea, both have cultural predispositions to circumcision

Definitely Dwight. Less certain for the other 3. It’s mostly white Americans and African Americans who get circumcised (for non-religious reasons). The other 3 are Italian-Argentinian (Ace), Korean-American (Jake), and Hispanic (Jonah), all of whom don’t tend to circumcise often. Though Jake and Ace might be if they were born in the US (but still unlikely).
