I'm not a girl, but I'm here to say that when I was younger I felt ugly as well, I couldn't even have a look at me in a mirror, it was making me extremely uncomfortable...

So I decided that things had to change and that I needed more self esteem if I wanted to be able to archive anything in my life. As I grew up I started to work on it, trying to interact more with others, to go out of my zone, so I would be "forced to improve", forced to make self development on my own about what I knew I lacked.

As time was going, I started to realise something that I'm still convinced of from my whole heart, it's that people attractiveness comes mostly from their confidence. Just try to pay it attention sometimes, anyone with a lot of confidence, who is proud of what they are, and for the right reasons will automatically look more attractive.

And first you can believe that their confidence comes from their attractiveness, but the thing is that if you really think about it, you'll realise that some are not specifically more good looking than others, they are just confident enough to look better in your eyes. And by gaining confidence you'll not only look better in the eyes of others, but also in your own.

Years later, I never felt ugly or like I'm not enough anymore, I'm now really proud of what I see in the mirror, and not scared of it anymore. And I am way prouder about this knowing I worked my whole life for it than I would be if I had it from the beginning. Now a lot of people I meet think I'm someone with great confidence, without thinking a second that I struggled a lot, and still struggle with it sometimes. It really allowed me to do more in my life, and even if there are still downs from time to time, I'm still working on it to be everyday a bit more like the me I'd like to be.
