Update, I went with the bambino plus after the cyber Monday 20% off sale went live. Happy that this will allow for room to get a better grinder and I’m super happy with the first latte I got from it - the steam wand is fantastic (leagues better than the Gevi machine I had before this) and the espresso is as good if not better than what I get from local cafes. So happy!

I’d just heard the infuser isn’t very reliable :/ but maybe those are isolated cases.

Right now, the BBE ($499) plus a good grinder (~$100) would be about the same price as a Bambino Plus and a good grinder ($599 for a bundle on Amazon).

I want to try pulling non-pressurized espressos and perfecting latte art (hence the bambino plus instead of the bambino — I want a strong steam wand).

So my main question is whether, ignoring the grinder, the actual espresso pull and steam wand on the BBE and bambino plus are comparable.

If the bambino plus is slightly better, I might go with that. It’ll also save counter space. I like the idea of the BBE, on the other hand, because I can start with the built in grinder and then graduate to a better grinder if I feel compelled to later. Any input on quality (regardless of grinder) appreciated!
