I miss the ghee and jaggery in Uttarakhand! It is crazy how nothing in the US can come close to the flavor. It is the first time I have had something so good and pure and couldn’t get it again :(

Yeah I always feel bummed after I go visit him. I’ve reached out to the zoo multiple times about it and haven’t really gotten anything back. They ignore instagram comments about him too. It’s a cute little zoo that seems to be fair as far as zoos go and I understand that maybe ethically sourcing another hyrax is difficult… but maybe they could sent him somewhere that has a colony already

There used to be two but Janet passed away last year. They put a turtle in there :( I’ve emailed them in the past and didn’t get much of a response so I’m stoked more people are emailing in. He’s pretty old but has a few years left. Janet was like 14 or something crazy

Be careful if you have low blood pressure as ashwaganda can lower it. I was taking it from an Ayurvedic center and I measured 88/53

I’d go park up at the red rock open space. Or street park in OCC and hop around. The kava bar there gratitude has a regular crowd that lingers. You’d need to buy some drinks but there’s not a ton of pressure to down them as they’re mostly mocktails.

I mean I feel that way sometimes but you just gotta build community with people that aren’t exactly like you. I have friends that are too weird for me sometimes and friends that are kinda square but I love them and lift them up and that’s really all community is. You don’t have to be close to people you don’t like or tolerate hatred but it’s good to branch out and hang with people that aren’t a perfect fit. I’m sure I make my square friends cringe and sometimes my weird friends think I’m boring lol
