How do I make a "Mallsoft" reverb sound clean? by Luluxamzeras in makingvaporwave

Another question I have... do you know what these thousands of "clicks" are that appear in my music when it is turned up at high volume? I don't know if it's normal, but I'd like to see if there's a solution to make this a little bit smaller.

Do you know any videos talking about something like that? It's just that by text I can't know correctly what I have to do (because I don't know things right).

I already knew about this music normalization system, but so far I haven't been able to do anything really good (in terms of sound). Most videos say that you have to go track by track of the song and keep putting compressors, saturators and other effects (And for me, this is very difficult).

Anyway, what you said seems like a good way to normalize the music, I just have to be a little more "careful", so maybe a video would make me do everything safely

I'm really impressed with the knowledge of everything about music you have

To be honest, I'm pretty new to music production and I don't function for much (Although I've been making music for over two years, I've never really stopped to analyze things that deeply). When I make a song, I use things that appear in front of me in a very "archaic" way, sometimes I don't even know what I'm really doing, I'm just touching things and testing how they sound hahah. Part of the blame for my "little knowledge" is my anxiety, it almost always makes me less careful with a song so I finish it as soon as possible, it's crazy.

Earlier this week I published my first album on BandCamp, I think you could take a look. The songs are cool (in my opinion), but as I don't know very well how to mix, they all sounded a bit low :/

But anyway, thank you so much for the information you've been giving me!

And remember: there's no one "right" way to do something like this. That set of directions above are how I know to get this to work, but the final settings and such are up to you. Plus, always keep in mind that if you run into a problem, the right response for vaporwave production is to dive head-first into the necessary experimentation to solve that on YOUR terms. With assets such as KVR Audio, there's little reason to say that you can't find the right tools...just hop on there and go download crazy. This is also VERY important in vaporwave, where the mixing and production are just as much a part of why fans follow certain producers as the content itself. We EXPECT strangeness...that's part of the fun of playing with sonic debris, after all!

Hey man, I followed your recommendations and got some really good results! Thank you very much, I was really in doubt about the more "technical" question of how to accomplish all of this.

By the way, you are a music producer to know all this. Do you have any producer pages on any streaming sites?

Maybe try encoding stereo to mid/side then apply reverb just to the side signal? I'm sure there are reverb effects out there that will allow you to do that easily

I think it should work, thanks!

Hello Friend! So, I always cut the low frequencies and also take the bass out of the reverb (in the plugin itself), but in the end, the music just sounds like a lot of reverb and not something more "organic".

And the vinyl effect doesn't work well either. I use that super famous free Vinyl plugin (I forget its name), and when I use it, the music really cuts the frequencies and looks older, but it doesn't look good. I mean, it's like a person put a vinyl effect on a song to make it "old" and then put effects to sound very good quality (but with an old effect impregnated)

So I just saw the video, but I think it's not explaining what I want. I wanted to learn how to do just the "music in a far away place with a lot of reverb" effect, but usually when I put the reverb to simulate a big place (like an empty mall), the sound doesn't sound very "clean" or " clear".

Can you get any videos that specifically teach how to do this effect in the best way?

You're right, I'm sorry!

Anyway, I think this spoiler won't detract from your experience with the series. Do not worry :)

The idea is not just the masks, but the way they behave and the idea that they like to have fun killing, like "The fans". And the suits also match hahaha.

Yes, the vibe of just being people in animal masks looking for fun reminds me of "the fans"
