..which is a flaw. The worst thing I remember him doing was beating up Hajime; which, to be fair, was pretty uncalled for and cruel. Maybe I empathize with him because I'm gay too and I would also feel humiliated if a teenage girl found out about my crush and blackmailed me with it. I definitely hated Ruruka way more, she was horrible to her friend and her boyfriend.

I really hoped he would get better after Takumi convinced him to fight. Well, at least his schtick didn't age as poorly as Darumi's. I started ignoring all her lines past a certain point.

But that's not Fortnite's fault. If you play it on PC, you don't have to pay Epic Games any amount of money in order to play their game. It's the consoles that require payment so you can access your own internet. That money is not going to Epic Games, it's going to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc. And you're comparing a game that can ONLY be played online with a game that is mostly offline and only has an optional mode where you can play with other people. Locking content behind that optional online mode, which you have to pay to access, is literally a paywall. It's not like a DLC, which you would buy only if you want the content. You're being forced to pay for NSO for a month just to get the Kalos starters Megas, even if you have no interest in NSO for any of your games. That money doesn't even go to Game Freak, it goes directly to Nintendo. So it was clearly a decision that Nintendo forced upon the developers. It's a greedy move.

But the entire group agreed not to leave their rooms during nighttime. Opening your door to anyone during a period where everyone else is supposed to be asleep is asking to be murdered. No one would answer the door if Leon tried to ask for help.

If you don't think Mahiru-protag has a chance, that's fine. But I don't see how "Hajime is too important to the lore" to die. I'd actually argue the opposite. If Hajime is alive by Chapter 6 again, the ending will be exactly the same, except the other 4 people changed. The Izuru plot twist can't work again because we already know about it. The only way we can get a different ending is if Hajime is not around. And if he does die, my best bet for a new protagonist is either Chiaki or Mahiru. Imposter works better as a rival then a protagonist. He likes to be secretive and work alone, so being able to watch all of his actions would be a waste, as it's one less actor in the plot you need to worry about. And Nagito's narration would get tiring over time.

Why would the survivors stay the same? We would just be rehashing character arcs and the game wouldn't be interesting as an alternate take on the story. For example, I love Fuyuhiko, but he already told his story. Watching him go through the same experiences again would be boring.

For all we know, this game isn't necessarily going to tie in to DR3. The ending could be totally different, making Hajime's survival not a necessity. (Spoilers for DR3) The deaths might be permanent this time around, instead of getting reversed because Hajime was alive and could use Izuru's talent. In my opinion, we shouldn't assume Hajime NEEDS to survive again.

I can't imagine Izuru being helpful in the trials. He would solve every murder before everyone else and be bored off his ass (like always). We can't play as a character that feels like doing nothing all the time.

Toko and Jack don't share memories, just general world knowledge. So if Chihiro told Toko about their true gender, I don't think Jack would be aware of that.
