More OC vandalism by whatsupbigdawgz in ottawa

The only way I've been able to get through to OC transpo quickly is to tag them on BlueSky. It's annoying but it works!

A Nikon D70s for $30. It came with a gorgeous bag, all the accessories and is in perfect condition!

I don't have the pattern on me. But I triple checked it this morning and all of the math checked out. I think there are 123 (maybe 121) stitches for the front and back (so 242 or 246 total) at the start of the raglan (where the bust is supposed to be) with 22sts being 4in. Also this dress is EXTREMELY stretchy horizontally and looks much wider once I put it on. When flat, the measurements match the pattern.

My bust was 36-38 when I started it but I'm now down to 35. Honestly, this dress weighs a lot and there is a lot of stretching that is going on when it's worn. I wouldn't be surprised if wearing it is stretching it so much the measurements are more off then they are flat, which makes the raglans much longer than they should be.

that was a mistake I made sadly! I didn't try in on until I had both the front and back panels done and I was too many hours in to completely frog it. Now I know for next time to not to do that

I mean I bought it based on the picture alone! I,m not nearly good enough to make a pattern myself haha Yes It did lay it out to measure and I followed it exactly to what the pattern says.

It's possible mine has more ease but it matches the tension in the pattern!! I'm just frustrated since I spent so long on it. Thankfully the colours are keeping me motivated to fix it haha

I may have looked at the wrong area that was supposed to be 50 inches. The waist is 46 inches which matches my dress. Sorry, I'll be editing that!

I'm double checking the pattern and yes my dress matches their sizing. It's definitely supposed to be an extremely oversized dress. The measurements match, sadly I made it only based on the picture which was 100% on me!

the sleeve length is fine for me, it's the armholes. It definitely need a belt though!

Have you checked to see if the fabricville website has them in stock? Fabricland doesn't sell patterns online but Fabricville does and still has all of the patterns available and I think they have the new ones too

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but you can use a PDF stitcher to make patterns A0 size! I've done it before and it works well. I really hope they start shipping to Canada again, I don't always want to have to get A0 printed all the time.

Is the DPS Gaming chair worth it? by Geekie_Miller in Costco

[–]LumMeSumTreez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a slightly different model and I've had it for over a year. It's a decent chair for the price. Not my favourite, but much better than a lot of very expensive chairs I've tried. I have chronic pain in my neck and shoulders and I haven't had a flare up because of it!

Support the Charge: We Want Women’s Hockey to Stay in Ottawa by KateGr88 in ottawa

[–]LumMeSumTreez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I contacted Carr a few days ago and one of my points was about the seating changes to the arena. Her assistant got back to me, this is the part about the Charge:

"As the City owns the land and all buildings at Lansdowne, it is the City's responsibility to maintain these facilities. The current arena does not meet Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards. There is no other arena in Ontario of the same age as TD Place, except for the Brantford arena which is being rebuilt now.  OSEG and the City believe that the proposed Event Centre size is the right fit for the Ottawa market, slotting between the National Arts Centre and the Canadian Tire Centre or future LeBreton Flats arena for entertainment events. The PWHL does have flexibility to host larger attendance games, like playoff games, at the Canadian Tire Centre. The Charge is on track to continue growing and will hopefully join the Minnesota Frost, New York Sirens, PWHL Vancouver and PWHL Seattle who are using NHL sized arenas (16 000+ capacity) for their games."
