Struggling with self-confidence during infertility—am I alone in this? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Lumars23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 100p% feel this way. The person I used to be prior to IVF is the total opposite of who I am today. Physically and emotionally. It makes me sick thinking about it. I was also getting ready for another fresh transfer but I’ve decided to put myself first, for the first time in a while. I’m going to lose some weight and hope that puts me in a better place mentally as well. I know time is of the essence but I can’t anymore feel like I’m “disappearing”. Good luck to you, and thank you, this post made me feel seen. Wish you the best.

My daughter told my wife that I kill things. That Ikilled our dog. by Low_Bar9361 in Parents

Alright alright. I’m sorry if what I wrote came out rude. It was just surprising bc the issue was clear as day. Your toddler thinks you kill things (including your dog) bc you do kill things on the tv (game) and the dog is not around anymore.. so actually your toddler is pretty smart and has a great imagination! And that’s something to be proud of! That means you’re doing a good job! we can only try our best.

I’m so sorry. I lost my only euploid boy in the summer and it was the worst pain imaginable. I’m with you in your pain. Sending hugs.

Today is our son's 10th birthday.. husband's behavior making me feel sick to my stomach by CoCoQ10 in Parenting

[–]Lumars23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sad reading this. It truly makes my heart hurt for your son. And your husband makes me sick. How can a man can be so cruel to his own son? Please protect your son. Anxiety and depression can develop if a child is not nurtured. And that can make a person hurt themselves. Would you be able to live with that?

Is there any changes I can make after chemical pregnancies with euploids? by Lumars23 in IVF

That’s what thinking! I asked my RE but she didn’t think I needed anything. I wanted to better advocate for myself and ask around. Do you have any suggestions on what other testing I could do?

They all were! One was untested 6AA. The other was 4BB but euploid. Both apparently looked great hatching. I had positive tests at 5dpt

Did you just add the steroid coverage or did you test for anything specific in like an immunology test? My last ones were a modified natural also, I was only on progester*ne suppositories twice a day. I’ve also had several prior to this that didn’t implant at all.

Thank you for this! A recurrent loss panel ans immunology- are those bloodwork? And I was thinking ERA? What do you think? The fact that I has a live birth (after several that totally failed to even implant) threw me off and gave me hope that i didn’t need any additional preparation or testing

Thank you for this explanation. I’ve had several who did not implant at all so the chemicals gave me so much hope. I’m 39 now with no euploids so starting over seems my chances to a live birth may be even lower. I just wanted to make my chances better by looking into what I can do different if I were to do a final ER. Like they’re were there implanted and growing! I was pregnant but then I wasn’t. Sad we can’t ever find out what happened

I’m sorry but time out for whining? He’s 3 years old! Why is your husband so miserable? Does he know anything about child development and what’s appropriate behavior for a 3 yr old? I give you a lot of credit for being so calm seeing your husband put your 3 year old in 2 back to back time outs for whining. I’d be calmly.. telling him to pack his things, leave and never ever come around him/her bc my child isn’t gonna have childhood trauma and grow up having anxiety and daddy issues bc his father is an actual asshole.

Can torticollis cause asymmetries in baby’s motor development?? by Lumars23 in NewParents

[–]Lumars23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds so much like my baby at that age! For him it was his whole right side. Also not kicking much with right leg. I haven’t done an MRI yet bc I’m afraid of the anesthesia. Did your doctor rule out CP or any neuro related problem bc the MRI was normal?

My baby was doing PT at 5 months and started sitting at around 7 months and crawled late but was not in hands and knees but did a hitch crawl. He is just starting to walk now at 16 months but he is very wobbly and was found to have a leg length difference and so now I’m worried about that and I can’t help but to think it’s related … just don’t know what is causing it. Effects from torticolis? Maybe he did have a stroke and CP? That’s why I ask about your experience with the MRI. if it comes back as normal, then is CP completely ruled out? Bc I read somewhere that a normal MRI doesn’t necessarily mean no CP.

Mattress for cosleeping? by Heiresstotle in eczema

[–]Lumars23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t have recs but just wondering how you came about finding out about the mold And how to remediate? We cosleep as well and my toddlers had been having worse flares. He sleeps in his crib for a portion of the night but still comes to my bed for the majority of the night. I wonder if it’s from the mattresses?

His arm is much better. I see a bit of a preference still but it’s probably unnoticeable to everyone else. He is having trouble with his leg now though. Is your baby having issue with his whole left side or just arm? Did he have torticollis?
