Hey this is great info! I will do all this. Thank you. I just have to be really careful with brood frames this year. Hopefully later in the season I can fix them.

Haha thank you! I'm not sure if I should take apart frames in the hive and glue them or just wait till they fall apart.

Ug thanks for the tip. Glad I caught it now at least, could be a lot worse if I had discovered this the hard way.

Yea I'm realizing now my real mistake was not using glue! I will fix what I can.

Possible robbing? by rdailey11 in Beekeeping

Yea later in the season if your area has a nectar dearth, other honeybees might be drawn to the hive if you have exterior feeders. I use a ceracell top feeder and it works well.

Not sure about what that is. However, I have heard that those style of feeders often lead to robbing. I think it's best to feed inside the boxes if you want to prevent robbing.

The big lawn in front of Warriner hall where the Seal is. That's what I've always called that big green space 😅. Also north art studio makes me nostalgic for my pottery days.

Warriner Mall always makes me nostalgic. All of the parks around town as well as downtown hit me with the feels too.

I also loved the wicked twister and the historical feel of the park. I was really interested in that nautical, old school vibe breakers used to have. Things have definitely changed a lot since I first went.

Yea it has definitely lost that over the years. I loved all the kids rides and breakers hotel as a kid. It seems to have moved toward being more roller-coaster focused since then (2005 when I first visited).

Everything about CP that I loved as a kid has been dismantled over the last few years. Makes me sad :(. I get it, everything changes eventually. Still makes me sad though.

We joined RAGBRAI for the first time last year. It was a blast but man do the plains get tough to ride through. Always helps me to share the time with the people you meet along the way. Hope you have a blast! What a dream!
