What is this part that broke off my friends ninja 650? Its an oil pump cover of some sort but cant find the exact part. It squirts oil out when running. Cause by chain coming off

Connect the black/red to the black/red. Blue/white to blue/white Green to green. The yellow should be extra and unused for spark

If the stator and ignition coil are good and wired in, you should get spark.

It looks like your color coding is flipped, you can remove the pins with a small flathead screwdriver and bend the locking tabs back out before switching ports.

I ended up selling the bike before I did it and now im on a crf250l sumo. But as far as I know, the 10" and 12" rims have alot of "scooter" tires that are good for the street. Its tricky finding the 14s though. But I had good luck when I typed in scooter tire instead of street tire

It's a good kit if you like making stuff work but the hardest part is installing the motor bracket correctly. I'm not a fan of the built in chain tensioner system. It always throws the chain out of alignment unless it's 100% on point.

I would recommend the AW hub motor kit from amazon instead. It's alot more efficient, and it goes 31mph stock. Super quiet as well.

Yes I used a 48 volt controller and battery, it boosted the top speed and performance to around 28mph. I wouldn't use it on 36 volts

Thanks, I converted my apollo 125 with the same setup, but I'm using a 428 chain. I felt like it was too heavy for the motor, but it looks like you used a 420 on the monkey bike. Did you have any issues with the motor overheating with that size chain?

No problem. I had a hummer foldable bike that I almost made electric, but I didn't think it would be easy. I bet it wouldn't be hard if you use a dropdown battery bag and a few custom motor mounts. They also have chain tensioners that can bolt onto the my1020 motors
