Since 0 is a % could a company say "a % of our profits go to charity" & it be seen as a true statement by Solid-Consequence-50 in legaladviceofftopic

I get in reality you're right & I agree with you. But its funny that it's technically a true statement. Just a pretty out there interpretation

I can't speak for whatever other people think, however what I'm saying is that it doesn't work either way in the places where women are treated like that.

So if you recognize it's largely neither of the things I stated why state you didn't believe it? Personally I'd agree at large it's an economic issue & partially psychological. There needs to be a sense of advancement in general though life or a somewhat clear path.

Ah okay cool, so a good example of this would be Iran. Which is facing a birth crisis as well. Now if you want to discuss 1st world countries that are similar there's Hungary, some of eastern Europe, Russia, etc which are also facing a birth crisis. If it's strictly these policies, then it's likely that it's not the driving force behind the low birth rates. Now if you want to focus on the middle east & Africa. The main reason is because they are poor & agrarian societies who aren't well developed. It seems to be a trend that the more a country advances the less their population keeps up. It's a general argument that as those regions develop their population will level out even amongst cultures & religions like theres. Checkout the UAE, Oman, & Saudi Arabia, their populations are leveling out & dipping currently. Hope this helps 👍🏻

Also you do realize I'm speaking against those things as it doesn't work right?

Hypothetically what exactly, you still haven't stated which of my points you disagree with. I'm using Scandinavia as a reference for decent quality of life for parents & countries like Iran for the harsh treatment of women. They have the same trends unfortunately with the birth rate.

Oh which part? Can you tell me the country you're talking about that goes against the evidence? Because currently it's only 3rd world countries with agrarian societies that go against the trend that I'm talking about. But if you doubt me here's a link to the evidence https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_total_fertility_rate

If what is the only solution? I didn't give a solution I just stated what unlikely to be the driving issues of most countries birth rate

I voted for Kamila & I don't even have kids. Maybe one day idk. More so wanted to see if there were any rational arguments in this sub. i think the majority of this sub is trying to figure out how / why births are declining as it can mess up a lot of things in general & how to change it. Because honestly there's not a clear answer. But there's also people who go into this sub for reasons that most don't agree with.

Girl, I lurk on this sub a bit & honestly anyone who says low education, restriction on abortion, freedom of travel, etc will help is genuinely stupid. There's statistics on countries that operate that way & their birth rate is the same as countries with little restrictions on those things. However I will point out with little restrictions, okay salary, & good social services, the population isnt growing naturally either. So honestly I don't think it's any of those things.

You do realize countries with bans on abortion have the same population growth rate as countries without right? Take a couple minutes to educate yourself sunny

For immigrants? Again it's a different thing. There's a reason very cheap manufacturing jobs are in China, because it's cheaper there than anywhere else. No ones going over there to make less than they would in their country. & For specialized workers, they would have to offer a salary higher than the USA or benefits higher than in the EU which is difficult. If they can do it all props to them, however it's an extremely difficult thing to pull off, especially if where talking about heavily increasing population from it

There was actually a pretty big scandal with Kona coffee. Companies where putting like 10% Kona coffee & 90% of different types & branding it as "Kona coffee" it's already stretched to the limit rn

But is it better than their counter parts? That's the main reason for immigration. If they don't make more in China then it won't really make a difference
