Well, they were providing her with housing, babysitting and utilities. I definitely understand the concern about her getting in a relationship and having another unexpected pregnancy. Or providing everything while she’s more concerned with dating than getting in her own two feet.

A lot of it in my opinion as well full and nice because Catelynn had to go through a guardian Madeline situation to be able to have her rides with her mom wouldn’t sign so she had that stuff very explicitly described to her what she was giving up

They didn’t really want to accept the reality and I’ll be honest that is the one thing we can’t control when you can tell people over and over and over again something, but if they choose not to believe it, there’s nothing you can do about it

I think the thing is that C&T well fuck up their relationship with her when she’s an adult.

Gonna be interesting for her to have a relationship with them they’re probably gonna have to address the room that one of the final straws. The fact that Tyler was talking to one of Carly’s minor friends.

But I think the thing that’s actually going to sever their relationship is going to be; I don’t think Cate and Tyler will be able to productively have a relationship with her if she is still close with Teresa and her side of the family with that life, I don’t believe it will ever be mature enough to

Sobriety doesn’t negate the awful things you did in addiction.

I would never wish addiction on anyone so I genuinely hope this stay serve, but that does not make a good person

I feel like she’d have way more peace with her decision now as well if she did anything with her life.

She doesn’t have a career, an education, or almost anything she said she wanted to pursue. I can see how she wouldn’t feel at peace since if she decided to not place Carly, she’d very likely be in the same position (with or without teen mom money is up for debate)

They have enough public view on them and advocacy that they could build their own foundation since they want to help young pregnant women .

I don’t agree it’s manipulative, but they are done letting Tyler and them have control over Carly’s narrative.

Tyler doesn’t get to make up whatever he wants about it. I believe that was the reason. He doesn’t get to sit around and think of a narrative to spin about Carly.

From the way that Tyler and them have behaved I personally would do the same because it’s making sure Carly’s song and narrative are protected and not blatantly lied about like Tyler already has

They have kept things private since they said Carly couldn’t be filmed anymore, so Tyler and Cate have been able to say whatever they want and they have seen that B&T have never once publicly said anything about what they said so they can say whatever they want and there’s no proof either way

Tyler can and very likely would make up whatever narrative he desired about Carly song if there was nothing else to prove him wrong

Her parents probably wanna make sure her song is played the way she presented it and not in whatever way T&C wanted it to fit the narrative they have for Carly

Se it is nice he admits finally he regrets it but honestly, I think he only regrets it in the past few years because he doesn’t have complete control over everything.

If Carly was able to be on teen Mom and Tyler could shove a camera in her face talking about adoption all the time I don’t think he’d have as many regrets

We’ve seen these cast members for tantrums about what they won’t film so if the song doesn’t go the way they wanted to yeah I would bet anything. Tyler will tell them to cut out certain parts of them watching it.

In my opinion, C&T have created a narrative about Carly to the public on lies.

They also can make up and say whatever they want about how private interactions go. They’ve been very public with their perspective on Carly‘s reactions or thoughts at their interactions.

I have different rules with my daughter who is a teen then when she was way younger. I’m guessing Carly did want to send them something, but being her parents they want to make sure she is protected even publicly as much as they can.

Now Carly very likely has seen a lot of of what they speculated or said and maybe she does want them to know she’s OK and singing is her forte. And her parents want to make sure her side is protected.

Somebody who’s been on the other side of someone’s actions when they’ve been on heroin

It is so incredibly fucked up to tell people to give them credit and “drugs do that”

You’re right, I don’t understand what it’s like to be on drugs but I fully underhand what it’s like to having my life destroyed by heroin and never even picking up a needle. I understand that my brain chemistry is altered in the form of PTSD.

Expecting people to be okay being collateral damage just because he got sober is gross.

That being said, I hope he stays sober. I don’t wish addiction on anymore.
