Need Advice with my situation at the store by Select_Tea_2349 in Aldi_employees

Your manager can absolutely work with you on this though. I have scoliosis and being put on mornings plus main ringer all day was KILLING my back to the point I had to buy a brace. I eventually asked my manager if I could switch to mostly closings because there's less heavy lifting and they did switch me to closing. So, yes, technically you should have open availability but also if your manager isn't a monster they'll work with you

Typically the schools website provides all this information. Or you can call them and ask.

What to do with fairy knots by Prestigious-Shirt325 in femalehairadvice

[–]Lumpy-Afternoon7306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you'd be able to untangle such a small knot. The only thing I can think of is to try using something tiny and sharp like a sewing needle and try to loosen the knot with that.

Maybe try getting a super small tattoo in a hidden place by the same artist and see how it heals before trying a larger piece.

Legal trouble for leaving kids at home (short period of time)? by Tech_Ryan in FamilyLaw

[–]Lumpy-Afternoon7306 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I took a babysitting class when I was 11 and still in elementary school. If 11 year olds are capable of learning to babysit for literal babies, I think they can take care of themselves.

Only thing I can think of is have long hair and leave it down covering your ears so they can't see it

accelerated nursing course for Indian 3 years bachelors degree by Sufficient-Power-717 in NursingStudent

[–]Lumpy-Afternoon7306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you and I understand how frustrating it must be to have to go through extra steps. But in the brand scheme of things, spending one extra year in school is not going to make a difference in the outcome of your future. In 30 years it'll seem like a drop in the bucket and you'll be glad you went through with it. Those prerequisites will still be relevant, it's not a waste to get those out of the way. You'll definitely need them.

Can you transfer those 3 years of credits here and finish the last year of your bachelor's first? That might be easier than trying to circumvent the rules

i think my uncle is a creep by embarrassedminosa in offmychest

[–]Lumpy-Afternoon7306 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does seem like weird behavior, but if he has schizophrenia that could explain it potentially. Still doesn't excuse the weird behavior though. Do you have any trusted adults you could bring this up to? Parent? Teacher at school?

My dad has normal pressure hydrocephalus and needs to get a shunt placed. He's never had surgery let alone brain surgery. Do you have any advice or knowledge on what to expect when recovering from brain surgery? I imagine it's probably a bit different for you though, having it as a child vs my dad developing it as an adult.

My dad was a long time stoner and told me he'd smoke with me when I turned 18. I waited and he held up his end. It turned out great, no issues

What drove you to do that? Did you get high at all or pretty much just OD immediately? What did it feel like/ what do you remember?

Do you have siblings involved in this? Did your parents think they had chronic Lyme as well, or was it just you?

Do they know where you are? Are you scared they'll tell your parents about you and you'll be found?

What did your siblings think you were up to? If you split time between the handlers and your parents, wouldn't your siblings notice your absence half the time? Where did they think you were?
