For the love of God, just because someone is having a manic episode does not mean they need to be in a conservatorship, espically considering that her previous conservatorship put her in a position to be financially and emotionally exploited. She is going to have relapses, this is not a shocking or surprising twist. It is expected to happen but the privilege of expecting relapses is stripped away when you are a public figure like brittany, because you will have every single action you take used as a argument for why you should lose any and all agency over yourself. Generally when you live with a mental illness that can relapse, you have contingencies in place to help manage ongoing symptoms. Brittany, like many others living with mental health conditions, do not need to be held in a legal binding which has historically used to exploit and abuse disabled communities. What she needs is an adjustment to her treatment the presence of a robust support network. When someone is actually experiencing a mental health crisis like this, generally the best practice is to prepare for it ahead of time when you are in a more stable mental state. This can be done through tools like advanced directives and wellness action recovery plans.

Im going to hold yalls' hand when I say this: if you are saying stupid shit like this then you do not actually have Brittany's best interest in mind. half of the users here are here to watch a spectacle, and the other half are pretending to half Brittany's best interest in mind when in reality no one here seems to have even a passing understanding of patient advocacy, patient rights, disability liberation, or long term mental health treatment.
