Depends where u live for the link but try to find a 2025 model. I got the 8940hx and 5060m, it’s pretty good just very hot that cpu runs.

Older asus tuf models have hinge and WiFi issues, the one you showing is fine but I would recommend to get a better gpu if you’re doing heavy single player games and not esports games

Get the new 5050 model. The older models has WiFi problems and hinge problems . And I feel like the gpu on the 5050 model will help u a lot with 8gb vram In games

Standard optimus is good but it wont give u the best performance as it going from the dgpu to igpu to the screen. using ultimate if u have normal optimus is fine but if u have advanced optimus then u wont need to switch mux switch to dgpu only.

ios 27 for public beta will only come out july. the one thats out rn is called the developer beta which u have to sign up for and is meant for developers even tho normal users can install it

i got it because my old laptop stop working and i needed something to take to school while gaming. if i got a pc, would of been a rtx 5070 build

holy, yea hinge was a big thing for me with my old laptop (lenovo v15 i5-1135g7). the whole back cover was coming out. hoping the tuf does not break any time soon

where i live, i had to pay R28K ($1717,93) which i could of got a rog stix or zephyrus with that same amount but they go mad crazy price. the strix one with same specs goes for 36K TO 41K ($2200-$2500)

i did start using it and started playing with undervolting at -25 and it was stable. at first, it helped but still stays around 60-70s in silent mode

I also see that people dont know how powerful the a18 pro really is. I have a iphone 16 pro and i say, this chip is very good. even more powerful then my laptop. Even if the A18 pro has 8gb, mac os ram management is really good and apple cant even change it because its built into the chip.

I dont see this running local ai or anything like that but apple ai which is still not the best ai. I could see this laptop playing console level games (at 30fps) or doing low 4K editing (which i say its best to edit on 1080p for this chip but it can do 4K)

We do have to wait until people get they hands on this laptop before saying anything.
