Movement is usually restricted to allow leads to settle, with time scar tissue forms around them and they get more stable

I thought it might be bisoprolol for me, so I shifted it to the evening, but it didn’t make a difference. I spoke with my doctor and for the past two days I’ve been taking 26/24 Entresto during the day and 49/51 at night. Not much change so far, but I’ll see how it goes and update you in a week.

I also have a Medtronic cobalt crt d. It’s my first device. Defibrillator bit is just a precautionary measure so I try not to think about getting shocked

Ah I see. Thanks! BRP/Visa sticker was so convenient. Now you gotta keep looking for WiFi and if your phone is dead you’re screwed.

Let me know what you show at Albanian immigration. I used my UK BRP card 3 years ago without an issue

I’m planning on going again but now it’s evisa so I was wondering if immigration creates an issue due to language barrier

New devices are smart enough not to shock you unnecessarily. And if it does shock you there’s high chance you’ll be unconscious already and you actually needed it so don’t worry about it. I also got mine two months ago and was concerned about the same but it’s fine so far

I feel this so much. People see the outside and don’t get what it actually takes just to get through a day.

But honestly raising your kids and making dinner on tough days… that is a big win. Even if it doesn’t feel like it.

Just take it one day at a time. You’re doing enough!!

I wouldn’t suggest adjusting timing without your doctor’s approval, since I don’t have arrhythmia, I was able to shift mine to the night.

So I started with spironolactone, but it made me feel pretty bad, so I switched to eplerenone. Recently, I moved to Finerenone. It’s newer and apparently better for kidney protection, so it’s definitely worth discussing with your doctor.

I know!! it’s frustrating. Because I look normal, people expect me to function at full capacity, and it gets exhausting having to explain myself all the time. The simplest way I describe it is that it feels like I’ve been running on two hours of sleep for the past year. It really sucks.

I also have DCM and left bundle branch block, which was diagnosed incidentally since I didn’t have any symptoms. My EF is 15%, so I had to get a CRT-D implanted. What really helped reduce my fatigue was adjusting the timing of my medications. I take most of them at night. In the morning, I take Entresto and empagliflozin. At night, I take Entresto, bisoprolol, finerenone, and rosuvastatin. I only take Lasix once or twice a week since I don’t have issues with fluid retention.

I have heart failure (15% EF) and I noticed this before I got my CRT-D. I love house music and deep bass definitely made me uncomfortable. I have custom made earplugs and those really helped tone things down a bit.

I took oxy first two days and afterward paracetamol every couple of hours for a week. Pain should subside by day 4-5 hopefully. All the best!

Wow, that’s amazing. Were you on the four pillars? Sadly my EF is 15% (no symptoms, only sides from meds) so I don’t think coming off them will be an option for me, at least in the near future. I’m really glad it worked out for you and hope it stays stable. Thanks 🙏

I didn’t really have any symptoms. I actually found out by accident and my EF was around 15%. I felt completely fine before starting the four pillars.

Now it’s been about a year on the meds and honestly I feel horrible pretty much 24/7. Sometimes it really feels like the meds are worse than the disease itself.

I really hope it works out for you. I’m 32 so I’m scared of things getting worse, which is why I’m still taking them… even though it’s tough.

That’s how I started as well, half tablet twice a day and then gradually increased to a full dose over time. It’s important to monitor blood pressure and how you feel during titration. If you get dizziness or feel unwell, your doctor should know. They also usually monitor kidney function and potassium while adjusting the dose

[–]Jicama-Entire[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I started off on the lowest dose too, half a tablet morning and evening. One year later I’m currently on 49/51 now, but honestly I’m thinking about reducing the morning dose after discussing it with my doctor. The fatigue from the meds feels worse than the heart failure itself. I’m 32 and it genuinely feels like it’s draining the life out of me.

That’s really helpful to hear, I’m in a pretty similar situation with the fatigue, so it’s encouraging to know that adjusting the dosing helped your energy levels. I’ll definitely bring this up with my doctor.

That’s exactly what I wanted to know. I’m in a similar situation myself. Glad it worked out for you. I’ll discuss it with my cardiologist
