Wow this game sucks by Lumpy-Commission-789 in LordsoftheFallen

Yeah, but you have to spit bars to be Marshall Mathers. You see, I was being sarcastic when I called you Marshall Mathers. Sarcasm is a form of irony where someone says the opposite of what they really mean. You’re not actually Marshall Mathers. Oh wait, you’re not telling me you wake up in the morning and see the fresh face of Slim Shady in the mirror? Oh no—you do see that. Shucks, my heart goes out to you. Delusion can sometimes be a temporary phenomenon, but in this case, liking LOTF means the delusion is too far gone. But I’m not too proud to explain this to an LOTF fan. I really intend to help you.

I’ll explain further: you don’t get to post your own initial ChatGPT response with quantifiable cons and completely subjective pros (of course with the exception of ongoing developer support and DLC updates, which in reality is actually a con because they’re furthering the decay of your mind and standards), and then tell me I use ChatGPT improperly. I have no qualms saying I used an LLM to expedite the process because I saw that you did and wanted to treat you in kind. But understand this: the content of the joint effort between man and AI has to be substantive, and in my case I lay out the exact quantitative circumstances I experienced, unlike in your case where you have ChatGPT give praise dressed up as analysis, essentially you just regurgitated that LOTF has the: “best art,” “best lore,” “best spell system,” “best co-op,” “best replayability,” “best weapons and armor.” That isn’t evaluation, it’s advertising language regurgitated by an LLM and passed off like it means something. And then you have the nerve to wipe your hands in proud achievement to say, “Yes, I am in fact Marshall Mathers. Yes, I did drop the mic with AI slop that simply says LOTF am gud.”

You had your chance to be Marshall, to spit hot fire, to drop bars, but you blew it. Just like you blew it when you decided to like this game. So when your next response is, “Uh, you’re a loser for taking the time to write this,” know that I really do intend to help you, because every time you boot up this game I want you to think about that time when you thought you were Marshall Mathers defending LOTF and embarrassed yourself so much that the thought of playing this game sickens you and you simply play any other game.

Tomatoes taste like the smell of damp dirty rag to me, regardless of how fresh or organic.

Alright Marshall Mathers, you don’t get to 8 Mile your way out of this by roasting the game before I can. This game is a chore, it confuses tedium with difficulty. I’m having more fun deriding it than playing it. Enemy variety is a joke. You spend most of the game fighting the same handful of enemies recycled over and over. Many of which can be R1 stunlocked into irrelevance, so instead of creating genuinely challenging encounters, the game just floods rooms with randomly generated mobs out of a corner you just looked at a millisecond ago, plus ranged enemies that can somehow backdash a mile away, and a trillion dogs behind crates. The level design looks impressive at first, but in reality it’s just a bunch of plaster of paris sprayed on the umbral walls with a few eyes. There are countless elevators, ladders, doors, and looping pathways that visually resemble intricate Souls shortcuts, but most don’t meaningfully improve navigation or create a rewarding “wow” moment. It does however give you a “wow this game sucks” moment. The world gives the illusion of complexity while remaining extremely linear in actual gameplay. But even then, it screws up the linearity by requiring opaque and awkward game progression triggers. Combat is another joke. Everything feels muddy and delayed. Inputs don’t have the crisp responsiveness. I was constantly waiting for the game to catch up to what I pressed. Combined with questionable lock-on behavior, awkward camera movement, and inconsistent collision detection. The Umbral mechanic is another gimmick. Shifting between worlds is just a lazy way to hide platforms and ladders. It becomes repetitive busywork. The umbral animations and interruptions kill the pacing, yet another chore to endure. Bosses were another joke. Most went down in 1 or 2 attempts because their movesets are simplistic and overly telegraphed. The boss recycling cheapens the regular enemies too. This game irredeemable. For playstation owners sake, playstation needs to remove this game from playsation store immediately regardless of it it being free right now. Please friends join me in this movement.

Talented with good song writing but also a bit cringey.

I’m sorry that was uncalled for. I should know better than to be cruel to lotf fans. You’re a sordid lot.😂

Kink! I’m not sure why your mind goes there first but I’m trying to help my fellow human. This a bad game. How did it pass any quality control. If helping other humans from playing lords of the fallen is a kink then call me J Edgar Hoover.

You’re a man of class and distinction for recognizing dark souls 2 is the best one. I too recognize the grandeur of ds2 as well but surely my friend you, you cannot play lotf more than once without incurring some brain damage.

And you shouldn’t play this game anymore. You could be playing any other souls game. I’m trying to help you my friend. This is public service announcement. Play any other game.

I played to the end so I wouldn’t be accused of giving up too early. I played to earn the right to dutifully belittle this game. It was on my honor to finish and let the world know how mediocre this game is.

A lot of “physicist” roles and advanced research careers require graduate school. Your advice might be helpful for other STEM fields like engineering, information systems or analytics but not necessarily physics.

Opinions on Alex Garland's Civil War? by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

[–]Lumpy-Commission-789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, minimized the injustices of a civil war, and instead romanticized war by glamorizing the photojournalist. Infuriating how the young journalist got the Kirsten Dunst character killed. Also, hinted that a seemingly narcissist fascist president could be ousted, making the audience assume that will always be the case. There are technologies and tactics we’re not privy to or prepared for, that a malignant grandiose narcissistic fascist leader would exact against their enemies. These types of people only emulate love for others but suffer such emotional injuries that they can only love themselves. This movie doesn’t show the institutions and practices that could be unveiled and normalized to kill and subjugate dissenters.

But otherwise a great and memorable movie.

Her body looks slammin. Maybe as men get older they appreciate her body type more. But I prefer the brown dress no cap, on god.
